I can only speak for my personal experience with ITech Solutions, but I will say that it was a very good experience that I had when dealing with the two brothers who work at the store. I took my Samsung Galaxy S2 into the store to see how much it would cost and how long it would take to get my phone repaired. The phone had quit charging; slowly shorting out and eventually would not turn on. ITech quoted me a price, which did not include a ‘diagnosis fee’ and told me they could repair my phone the same day. Instead of jumping on the offer, I still went ahead and took my phone to another repair company on Shelbyville road to compare what would the better deal and to ensure I did not spend unnecessary money. This company told me that in order to ‘doctor’ my phone, there would be a $35 diagnosis fee regardless of if I use them to fix the phone, and then it would take a day before they could diagnose the problem, much less to fix the problem that is identified. If I remember correctly, they did not do the repairs at their store as ITech did. It was an easy choice, and I decided to take my phone back to ITech Solutions. ITech was able to replace the charging port the same day, and my entire experience was excellent from start to finish. I truly feel that the two associates were looking out for my best interests. I showed a strong interest in another phone while there, but I was told that it would still be my best option to have my Galaxy S2 repaired instead of me buying a new phone. They told me that I would save money and would still end up with a better phone than the one I was going to buy. The extra expense just was not necessary A few days later I went back into the store and bought a battery from ITech and once again both brothers were very personable and helpful, and both remembered me and my situation in great detail. They made me feel as if I was a longtime customer that had been coming there fore years. Both gentlemen seem to be genuine, caring, and honest, as one could expect from a good business that provides honest service.
I busted the LCD screen on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Cell Phone Doctor did a great job repairing the screen. On their website it says, "Some of the most common problems we see are water damage issues and cracked screens. We can solve both of these issues quickly. In fact, if you drop your phone off to us by 3 PM, we'll have it fixed and ready to go by 5 PM the next day." But when I went into the store they had me sign a form that said that I recognized that they do NOT guarantee that I'd get my phone back the next day even though I dropped it off at 10am, the moment they opened the store; so their policy seems to be different than what their site claims. And in fact my phone was not done by 5pm the next day, so I had to wait another 24 hours. Because of this discrepancy between their advertising and their actual policy I will only rate this place with 4 stars. But, other than this inconvenience, the fix was done perfectly. The price was slightly higher than I had seen at the kiosk deal in the mall, but they can take up to 2 weeks. So overall, I would definitely recommend this place over the kiosk. My repair was done in January, 2015.
I am a subscriber to Boost Mobile (the Prepaid Nextel [now Sprint]). I had visited the Boost Mobile store at 3415 Bardstown Road to get a question about my account resolved. The staff at the Boost Mobile store was very rude and could not get my issue resolved. Dismayed, I walked to the Sprint Store down the street at 3333 Bardstown Road across from McDonald's to try my luck there because Nextel and Boost are owned by Sprint. The manager was the person who assisted me with my questions and was very helpful and got my issue resolved! I highly recommend this store to all Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Virgin Mobile subscribers to take care of your account needs! 5 Stars, what more can I say?
