My friend and I went to Khalil's on our lunch break for the first time and our experience was not great to say the least. We arrived at approximately 12:30, ordered our meals (grilled chicken sandwich on pretzel bread and cheeseburger on pretzel bread) and appetizer The manager comes out w/ our appetizer, goes to the table behind us and asks if they ordered fried pickles, they said no, he was on his way to the table behind them when we said we ordered them to which he replied, "I knew I was missing a table number." While we waited for our entrees we watched burgers and food go to one table that arrived about 5 minutes after we did and another table that had arrived a good 15 minutes after we did. As we looked around puzzled and a little miffed our waitress said she was getting ready to bring our food out, 10 minutes go by.... no food, the manager comes and says our food is coming right out... 5 minutes go by and finally around 1:20 we get our food. One would think after waiting that long that at least their food would be hot and fresh, but alas, the chicken was barely warm and the burger my friend got was not even warm. We were extremely disappointed. The service was unorganized and the food was way below par. I gave a two star rating because the business has only been open a week and owner came to us and was sincere in his apology for the lack luster service. I would wait a few months to give them time to "work the kinks out" as the manager put it, before visiting this establishment. Jan 25 2013- Went there again for lunch today; food was delicious and the service was great!! I will be frequenting Khalil's more often. Way to pull it together!!!!
My favorite restaurant in Louisville! I love to go for dinner:). They put these little tea light candles on the tables, the servers and staff are …
On Saturday morning, after dropping my daughter off at Sacred Heart Academy to take the ACT test, I heard a whistling coming from my 2006 Toyota Tundra. I looked at the engine heat gauge; it was at the very top. My trusted truck with 120K miles was letting me down. But, that was last let down of the day. I limped into Pruitt’s Automotive, and Pee Wee immediately began diagnosing my problem. He asked Jeff, the weekend manager to take a look. The consensus was my thermostat was stuck in the closed position, so coolants were not flowing through the engine block. Jeff informed me they were booked solid for the day. And my heart sank! We were in Louisville from Evansville (120 miles away) for the day only; I would not be able to return home later in the day. Next thing I know, Jeff is saying, “But, I cannot not help an out of towner in a moment of need. We’ll get you worked in somehow.” Another mechanic (Jeff’s Dad) received the assignment to get me on the road as soon as possible. About 1 ½ hours after limping into Pruitt’s, and I was back on the road, just like new. Thanks to everyone for taking care of an out of towner, just like I was regular!!!
Prime Lounge is a very up-scale, classy night spot. Two large dance floors with a great music selection. VIP is always the way to go but you will still have fun if you are going for drinks with friends and don't go VIP. For a bar that generally is packed it is staffed 100%. Getting a drink is never a problem. I have only been to Prime a few times but two of the times my car was vandilized. Once punched in the driver side door and another time it was broken into. On both trips I was even driving different cars. I am not sure if I would call this a security issue or parking an issue. You would think parking in the lot beside of the building with a clear view of two main streets would be ok. Think again..... My only suggestion is get there early to park in front of Prime on Main St. You might have a suprise waiting on you at your car after a night of fun if you don't.
