Bluegrass Heating/Cooling is exactly what I was looking for in a contractor. John is a genuine, honest and sincere person that quickly found the root of our issue and corrected it. Our a/c went out at midnight on a Friday night. John answered first thing Saturday morning and showed up almost to the minute of when he said he would, after calling in advance to let me know he was on the way. Our system is 13yrs old and has ample opportunity for upsells on replacement parts, but John stuck with the original issue and didn't try to sell me something I don't need. The rates are very reasonable and he even showed me a few things that I could do myself to save time and money. This was an extremely refreshing experience and Bluegrass Heating/Cooling will handle all of my HVAC needs going forward. Thanks for everything John!
I can't speak to the previous review as I've never tried to sell them anything. They do have to resell whatever you bring in, so I don't see how anyone could expect to get too much for their merchandise. (Isn't that what Craigslist is for?) Anyway, I go here about once a month and hit the clearance CD rack. Usually I end up with 12-15 CDs for about $20. I'll also hit the magazine section before I take a long drive or flight somewhere. Grab a magazine for $.50 that's a couple months old vs. a new one that's on the rack for $5. Maybe you just need to go there to buy? Either way, this place works for me.
He replaced our air conditioning unit for $2500 less than any other estimate we got. The unit is great cools my house extremely well and very energy efficient. He's worked on my previous unit for 4 years prior to us replacing our old unit. I don't trust anyone else for my heating or cooling system. My wife made the mistake of calling another HVAC company in town and the thief from that company charged us $389 dollars for a capacitor $15 dollars and takes 10 minutes to put in, which I've done before. Don't make the mistake. Of goingor trusting anyone else. Once you use them you will never use anyone else.
