I've been going to Bearno's on Westport rd. ever since I was a little girl. I practically grew up there. I have NEVER had any problems with the establishment. They make delicious pizza and their employees are extremely personable. While the restaurant's decor may need a tiny bit of help in the modernization process, that's the only complaint I can even fathom when pressed for one. Keep in mind though that if you just want edible pizza, and fast, you might want to venture else where. Bearno's is more expensive than other pizza places. i.e: PapaJohns, and they always have a 45 minute delivery time. As for the previous review it's unfortunate that they seem to have had that experience. The restaurant does have an A rating though... I will not let that sway my previous, positive experiences with the restaurant however. It's simple, best pizza in Louisville: Bearno's.

I got in late to the Louisville area and ended up missing the chance to order a pizza from Wicks. However, the evening before I had to fly out the next morning, I called and for what ever reason I did not have the cash at the time the delivery driver would need to deliver the pizza, only my corporate card. The owner of Wicks delivered (!!) me the full up Wicks large pizza free (I tipped the driver the $15 bucks I had) and just said let the folks back home know how you liked it (it was thick, huge and wonderful!!!) Can't say enough about how great the experience was--totally enjoyed every mouthful--would and have highly recommended it to any of my coworkers knowing my reputation was on the line.
Stomach is still on FIRE! Upon recommendations of server, we ordered the cheese bread for appetizer. Excellent though it was $9. Would order again. Ordered two calzones. Generous portion - satisfied with amount of meat and cheese filling. The cosmic pizza sauce is made with crushed red pepper and though the initial few bites taste fine, we could not finish because it was so spicy. Was disappointed to find out there is no mild marinara alternatives. Would love the whole restaurant concept if there was a tomato sauce choice geared toward more sensitive stomachs. If you love spicy food this place is going to blow you away. If you're like my family and can't handle heat, stay away.
