Best mall in the area! The Antique Market at Distillery Commons is located convienently, but I did not know it existed until recently. It's on Payne street between Lexington and Baxter. The staff are friendly and helpful. The layout is open, items are beautifully displayed, and I did not get an allergy attack from an aboundance of antique dust! The Antique Market Distillery Commons is a treasure for those in the market for unique antique furnature, imported smalls, or just an afternoon of brousing. If you have not had the opportunity to check it out, I highly recommend it. They're open everyday but Monday until 5:00.

From Business: We are a family owned Antique business since 1972 in Louisville, KY. The David Friedlander, Antiques shop was located on Bardstown Road in the Highlands for 27 year…
We love to go here whenever we can, unfortunately we live a few hundred miles away. Anytime we're passing through the area, no matter how far our journey may be, we always stop in and spend at least an hour, and that's still not long enough to see everything. You will see many of your favorite toys from childhood arousing an overwhelming rush of nostalgia. The last time we came through, our car was loaded down with people and luggage, but we left there with all of our new treasures in our laps and didn't mind the additional things added to an already overcrowded car. We can't wait to do it again!!! Definately a must see!
Found many of the dealers from Goss Avenue Antiques and Interiors seemed to have moved to the Mellwood Antiques and Interiors. Not the same old stuff though. Danish Modern, Mid Century, and great old industrial arts and antiques. Did not expect to find Herman Miller, George Nelson,or even a rare sky scraper Gilbert Rohde Vanity, but I did! They also have traditional and English furniture that is hard to find in Louisville. Seems like the dealers add new items every week!
