This year was my first year at St. Gregory Nazianzen School and what a great year. My children had attended public school for the last 4years and we tried a private school for the first time. WHY DID WE WAIT!!!!! Private school is definitely the way to go. Every sacrifice is worth it and I will continue for their entire education. Saint Gregory has a quality education with high academic expectations, it’s definitely a Westside school found in the mid-Wilshire area and not as costly. The area is beautiful and different from other local schools. The new principal is changing from a traditional set of learning to a collaborate way of learning. I can’t wait for next year where many new things will be implemented. Starting with 5-8 being departmentalized and focused on high school preparation. More to come…
My Family had visited from Utah and wanted to get out to sea and watch some whales. i found this company for $16 each person was a great deal for ab…
I wasn't sold by the exterior when they first announced about this new museum but I was too quick to judge. They way it's designed makes you feel not confined in the museum. You can see through those holes. Great to see the Broad family to share their private collection in such a beautiful place. It attracts a lot of people. You can stand in line to try to get in or you can get a reservation online and the wait is about 2 months but it's totally worth the wait. Great to see how many people visited the museum but it also attract a mix crowd. Some people love to take selfies in front of art works and cause them to touch the art work and blocking other people's view, very unfortunate. Underground garage for $12, they don't validate or there's a lot that's $10 across from the Disney Concert Hall.
Born in Catholic family however i attended public school.2nd semester moved to Hauser St.and enrolled in Holy Spirit School. Prepared for my 1st Holy Communion. It was a mental grind with plenty of study and I made it, my 1st Holy Communion. The sisters, priests and brothers were beautiful people. I will never forget Holy Spirit, a miracle from the hand of God. We moved back to Detroit. I would preferred to have finished out my 8th grade at HS and gone on to St. John Vianney for high-school. They say things happen for a reason and I would not question the workings of God, but Holy Spirit was such a good fit for me,. I loved the place, really. The only student I remember by name was LARRY JET. I still have my 7th grade class picture.
While baptized and raised a Catholic, I (like many) spent a good number of years away from sacraments, saints, Sunday Mass. When I happened upon Blessed Sacrament, I did not instantly become a church regular, but did feel drawn to them with their outspoken acceptance of all God's children (including gays, the homeless, ex-cons), their thought-provoking homilies (the Jesuit order is the thinking man's Catholicism), and their dedicated community outreach. Attending this church has brought a fresh perspective to my life; I always feel renewed after attending Mass. I don't follow every church rule and have my share of trouble being a good Christian, but Blessed Sacrament welcomes me and I am proud to come to her.
I've been going to this gym since it opened at the beginning of the year. I like that it is new and clean and has top-notch equipment! I love the TVs on the treadmills, too -- makes my cardio go by a little faster, for sure. Even though there are a good number of people working out here, there's plenty of machines, so I rarely have to wait. The real clincher is all the perks included with membership. For example, there's free parking (hard to find in this part of town!), towel service, and classes are included in membership, which is a pretty awesome for a higher end gym like this. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this gym!!
As a mature women I've taken pretty good care of my overall health, I am very active and eat quite healthy. I wanted to find an exceptionally good trainer to ensure that I'm exercising properly to maintain my muscle strength, stamina and bone density. Ray is that trainer. After training with Ray I could really feel the difference hiring a highly skilled trainer can make. The training sessions were wonderful. I did new exercises that were challenging and also learned some stretching techniques. He's a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend him.
I love the community at Gym Box. Deidre and Tee, the owners, are friendly and take serious pride in this business. The new location in Brentwood is cool and modern in a great facility. Classes are challenging and never too crowded. Spin does fill up quickly though and is very popular. Take Deidre's spin class if you can; you won't find a better instructor. TRX classes are also included free with membership, which I understand is not the case at most other gyms. Overall this gym is a bargain and a wonderful place to take care of your fitness.
You can find God's love with skin on it here. You can find awesome humble singers, musicians, and all kinds of people singing praises and being thankful for each other and all of their blessings. Miracles happen here and at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday the Gospel Choir is a true blessing to young and old. They have a Prayer Warrior Network that will cry out to the All-Mighty for help when you or a family member or friend is in need! The door is open to all. You may also bring a friend.
Wilshire Private School has been chosen to receive the 2008 Best of Los Angeles Award in the Private and Parochial Schools category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA). Wilshire Private School has established a remarkable academic program in the Los Angeles area. WPS also boasts four students selected as winners in the California Mathematics Competition. Students are happy and the atmosphere is conducive to a wonderful learning environment.
I love this gym! This gym has all the equipment of the other gyms but it is not over crowed. It has huge windows in all the rooms so it's bright and airy. The staff is nice and attentive to all the needs of the members. I haven't taken any of the classes yet but there is a good variety and a private dedicated space for them. The location is perfect for me and there is always plenty of free parking. The hours are convenient. Check out this gym!
