I may be slightly partial to this place..afterall it was opened by a USC alum (go trojans!)

All my events at this place have benefited from the rowdy, fun vibe..they have a solid selection of beers and an exotic selection of hot dogs...tailor-made for the adventurous!

Wurstkuche: Mediocre sausage at double the price.

What people don't know or seem to care about, is the effect they have had on the arts district. They themselves may think it's cool for them to be there, but I was the artist next door and they literally were a living nightmare and drove me out of my studio! They are the anti-artists of the arts district as far as I'm concerned and I've been there 30 years! They suck as neighbors and have brought nothing but non stop 24 hour noise, 10 times the congestion and their yuppie arrogance! And as far as their overpriced mediocre sausage, Pinks or Fab Hotdogs blow them away at half the price. That's my review as their X-artist neighbor. See what they put the LA arts district artists through can be seen at WurstkucheSucks-dot-com LA Artist

Wurstkuche must be German for Overrated

Seriously overpriced. Annoying layout that creates a line and no seating. It's weird because they are paying people to take orders in line but it doesn't help anything move faster. They need to police the insanely loud dining room when they're crowded for the hoards of people sitting around that are not eating and drinking while people stand there with food in their hands. Also, why can't I drink a beer while waiting 20 minutes outside. Oh, that's right, the horrible ""hip"" design. This place is a mess. Food included. Once all the hype dies down this place will too.

This is the place to hang out in east Downtown!

Get your necessary infusion of sausage, fries and beer here. This place celebrates the fusion of sausage philosophy from all over the world with delicious Belgian fries and traditional beers. Love it!

Great place to meet friends

Great Food & Bar! Belgian sausages w/ great flavors and 'snap' factor. I had the mango/jalepeno and it was tastey!! Also, nice vibe in backroom with bar and DJ.

Food is pricey for a sausage, but beer is cheep - and good selection :P

A good sausage soothes the soul.

Everyone needs a good sausage, every now and then. Can I tell you how excited I am about downtown LA's renaissance? I'm FREAKING REALLY EXCITED! Just a few years back my only lunch options were Korean BBQ in Little Tokyo or a bag of chips from one of the many crack-head laden liquor stores near by. Now? Now, I get to choose 2 sauces for my Belgian fries. And for that I thank you Wurstkuche. Thank you for not one but 3 veggie sausage options. Thank you for that extra side of sauerkraut. Thank you for that serving of apple beer that was just enough to be relaxing and still allow me to return to work in an operable state. And thank you even more for letting me sit in your devastatingly decorator perfect dining area, making me feel more awesome for choosing to lunch here. Long live sausage and beer. And fries.

YES!!!! Another Awesome Place Downtown!!

Heard about Wurstkuche from two friends who simply called it ""This German Sausage Place"". I soon got the name from them and went down on a Saturday Afternoon. Ordered a rattlesnake sausage and a Louisiana red hot with a small order of fries. Sat at the bar and ordered a strong Belgium beer and when my food came I enjoyed a really delicious meal. I hate that it took me so long to hear about it. Just understand that parking isn't the best in the area so if you go at night expect to do some walking and some waiting in line. It's worth the trip!

This place is THE BEST

This place is an absolute MUST EAT. Here's a tip: if you're feeling brave, go for the Rabbit/Rattlesnake/Jalapeno sausage, with caramelized onions and sweet peppers. I'm a picky eater and trust me, it's not weird, it's just good. Really, really good. Tack on one of their other exotic sausages, and you may even eat 5 different animals in one meal! FTW! Another tip: get your fries with the truffle oil. Amazing. Choose from about a dozen home-made condiments to go with those fries. I'm partial to the Curry Ketchup and the Thai Peanut sauce. One more tip: Ignore the spiteful other reviewers who acknowledge the wonderful food and great beer selection (Belgian Ales on tap!), but feel the need to knock the place because lots of people like to eat there. What kind of logic is that?!? ""It's so good and popular and hipsters like it, so booooooo"" I hear McDonald's serves up a really fast burger for people with that kind of attitude. However, if you're like me, you'll find Wurstkuche to be a real treat, and if you want to avoid the lines, don't go at prime-time.

Awesome enviornment that fulfills your sausage needs

This place is smokin'. I dined here a while ago for my German class get together. I was amazed at the variety of sausage and beer that they had to offer. I was really fun, the fries are good and greasy (the good way :-) )
