THE PET STAFF LEFT MY SERVICE DOG FOR DEAD. My service dog is everything to me. When I had to go into the hospital I reluctantly called the Pet Staff: I had used them before with my previous dog and found them somewhat disorganized. I explained to the Pet Staff that I did not know my hospital discharge date and would call them when I was home. They agreed. I called every few days from the hospital and Tashi was doing fine. Finally when I was about to be released I called the Pet Staff. They were confused: they had not visited Tashi in 8 days. They had no explanation whatsoever as to why they had stopped caring for him. The manager matter of factly told me Tashi was dead - that he could not have lived 8 days w/o water. It took them 3-4 hours to get someone to check if Tashi was alive. Luckily, he was. The apt. mgr. had heard him barking and filled his water dish several times. She had not fed him as she thought the Pet Staff had so he was emaciated. DO NOT TRUST YOUR PET'S LIFE WITH A BUNCH OF DISORGANIZED STUDENTS. Don't be fooled by their 5 star self-written reviews below either.

I've used The Pet Staff for over four years for my cats and I have never had even one issue. The sitters are professional and care about the animals. They leave daily notes on when they got there; when they left; what they did; how the cats were behaving etc. When I had a sick cat and needed to leave her; they took extra special care of her, she was my baby. I now have 2 cats that they will be taking care of next week. I can't believe the bad reviews. I know there is a similar company with a similar name, maybe that is who the reviews were suppose to for? I also think the rates are very reasonable. You won't be sorry if you use them.

It seems quite suspect that after a bad one star review in December of '08 that eight different people would write stellar five star reviews all on the same day, January 29, 2009. Their names have the same pattern, name followed by two digits...just seems a little weird to me and I don't want to go with a company the writes it's own reivews.

My cat Lily has a thyroid condition that requires daily medication. She has wised up to all the tricks of putting the pill in food, a pill pocket, etc. She can be difficult to medicate. I hired The Pet Staff for the 4th of July holiday...Kudos to the cat sitters! They had no problem giving her pills. They said she fussed at first but were able to do do it with no issues! My cat sitter called me every day with an update on my Lily. I highly recommend this service!

I was nervous about using a company and not a friend to take care of my two cats. After reading positive reviews of The Pet Staff and having no option of a friend watching them, I chose the Pet Staff. The experience could not have been better. On two different trips, once for two days and the other for over two weeks, they were great. I received frequent emails updating me on my cats. When we had the earthquake a week or two I emailed the Pet Staff asking for an immediate update and they responded right away once to let me know they would contact the sitter and again soon after to give me the update. In a 2+ week trip I only had two sitters and both were great about updates.
When I came home it was obvious my two cats and home had been well taken care of. I would recommend this company to anyone.
My golden retriever, Casey, had a vet appointment. I was unable to take him as I got snowed in on the East Coast. I used The Pet Staff over the holidays and was very happy with their care. I called & asked for help. They picked him up, waited with him at the vet and returned him back to his favorite spot on the couch. They called me right after the appointment to let me know how it went. I highly recommend The Pet Staff for dog walking & pet sitting...cool to know they offer Taxi services as well!
I recently accepted a job that requires a lot of traveling. I needed to find a pet sitter quickly and was nervous since I had never had one before. I was worried about trusting my babies to someone else and allowing someone into my home. But after one phone call with The Pet Staff my fears were put to ease. The person I spoke with on the phone was very knowledgeable and friendly. She helped me select a schedule that worked well for me and my girls. When I returned home from my trip I returned to my mail neatly stacked, no dead plants and two very happy dogs! I LOVED the notes left by the sitters after every visit! I felt like I hadn't missed a thing and I knew my babies were well taken care of. I now travel with a little less stress knowing The Pet Staff is taking wonderful care of my babies.
Great pet care! Helped me out in a pinch! The sitters went above and beyond! Every so often my sitter would email me an update that assured me all was well with Madison and sometimes attached a pictured that just melted my heart. I look forward to using these guys again!
Thanks Pet Staff!!! =)
I heard about The Pet Staff from a news story. They do pet sitting, but also can focus on special workouts for overweight dogs and my poodles are a little on the heavy side. We're currently into our fourth week of daily walks and the improvement in my boys' energy levels, stamina and overall health is incredible! And not only do their walkers give them a great walk, but they really care about them. Once my younger guy developed a small hot spot and the sitter told ME before I even noticed it! They're fantastic and I'm thrilled to have found The Pet Staff!
I've used The Pet Staff for about 6 months and have never had better care for my cats! Their sitters are so amazing- I trust them with my babies and in my home and that's a good feeling. Finally I can travel without feeling guilty. I tell everyone I know- The Pet Staff is great!
