So famous, I thought it would be better.

This place has your classic steakhouse feel but I thought my steak was just average. The mojito that I got was WAY too sweet and the food was mostly just eh. Gotta say though, the fries are AMAZING. Not kidding, the best fries I've ever eaten.

Most disgusting lunch PERIOD

Morton's should be embarrased by the food they are serving for lunch. I first tried the $19 ""prime-rib"" french dip. What I got could barely pass for steak-ums that were glued to the plate by a mass of cheese at least equal to that of the so-called meat. I returned my meal for a burger, which had the consistency of a pate. That was also overly smothered with cheese, then toppped with bacon and onions boiled in butte... view more

Expensive Beef

I went there for lunch and we did not end up eating any beef because the prices were over $40. We ordered a $24 ahi tuna and $16 crab cake appetizer, and I forgot how much the smoked salmon sandwich was. The food was good. The place was packed. Very popular.

Just an OK steakhouse...

My boyfriend and I dined at Morton's last Friday (3-16-2007). We had 8 p.m. reservations. We did not have to wait for our table for more than five minutes, but then we sat at our table for almost 10 minutes before we were served bread and water. I believe it was another 10 minutes before our waiter came by to take our drink order and present us with the menu. The waiter was very cordial and attentive. We ordered a sh... view more

Too pricey for not too juicy steal

I went there once, and never wanna go back. The steak wasn't as great as I thought people rave about, and I think it's too pricey for the food like that.

Great steak

I'm demanding about the meat I consume, but the cut I had at this restaurant (double porterhouse) did not disappoint. Thick, juicy, tender, cooked to perfection. Great Lyonnaise potatoes with garlic and butter.\r \r Service was lacking, but I think it was more of a problem with the server I had been assigned in particular. Although polite, she was slow and not very attentive, unlike the other servers in the room, who... view more

Best Steakhouse in downtown, by far...

Simply Excellent. Food, Service, atmosphere. Phenomenal. I have been going here for a few years now, and have never been disappointed. As a lawyer working in downtown LA I have noticed that there a very few laidback, high end restaurants where I can entertain my clients and still feel we can have a real good time. This is the place.

Good steak, great service

My girlfriend and I went to Morton's for dinner on a Sunday when they opened for dinner (6 pm, I think). It was nice, b/c no one was there at first (I'd recommend it). Anyway, the server was extremely attentive and informative, we didn't have to wait for anything. The tuna tartare was pretty good, but next time I'll try a different appetizer. If you like tomatoes, the sliced beefsteak tomato salad was tasty (we got i... view more

Great customer service.

Best damn sirloin hamburger anywhere! Juicy, cooked just right, scrumptious burger. The service is wonderful. The bathrooms are immaculate.
