Predictably clean, fresh food, good service and the MOCA patio for open air seating make this place tops on my list for a relaxed afternoon brunch with family and friends.

I love going to the museum and while I'm always drawn to the bright shinny light of LACMA, my recent visit to MOCA during one this cold and rainy weather we've had reminded me how great this museum really is. It doesn't matter if I'm there to see a specific exhibit or just to see some of the amazing pieces in the permanent collection, I always leave having seen works by known favorites, discovering pieces from more than a few i've never heard of and completely happy. And now that Lemonade is the restaurant there, I really couldn't ask for anything more!

I went to the Museum of Contemporary Art over the weekend and had a great time. I particularly enjoyed the permanent collections that had amazing works from Lichtenstein, Pollack, Basquiat, Hockney, Jasper Johns, and many, many more. I don't get downtown very often, so we made the most of the day. After finding a $6 parking lot (for the day) near the museum, we went to the museum, took a quick walk over to the Disney Concert Hall for a look around, and then walked to a couple of nearby bars and restaurants.
