Established in 1946, Classical KUSC is one of the leading, nonprofit radio stations in the United States. The radio station focuses on preserving classical music as a living art. It is a listener-supported radio station that operates at a frequency of 91.5 megahertz. In addition, Classical KUSC airs a variety of programs that feature the culture of Southern California. The radio station uses digital transmission technology to broadcast commercial-free classical performances. It serves more than 600,000 customers weekly. Classical KUSC s programs include, The Baroque Show, The Opera Show and The Record Shelf. The radio station is a broadcast service of the University of Southern California.
