Small & Plain, Fake Promotions, Nice Bouncers

It's pretty small and its decor amounts to a stone and metal car garage. Dance floor is tiny, but the DJ was playing some great songs. If you like rap and hip hop, this is the place. Of course, the promotional flyers are mostly BS. Promises of award event afterparties and celebrity hosts are usually just made up to draw crowds. \r \r We were on the guestlist, which usually means nothing except that the promoter get... view more

i love the djs on sunday

LAX on sunday is by far one of my favorites. Last time I went, Justice was hanging out and DJ Falcon was spinning. The DJs always tear it up on a sunday.\r \r I am tied in with all the top notch hollywood events (ex. H.wood, The Kress, The Playboy Mansion, ETC.). I can get you on the guest list for LAX or refer you to the best venue on any given night. for guestlist consideration to your desired venue, contact me b... view more

LAX is small by comparison. Once the club is crowded, its not many places to go. The dance floor is steaming in sweat and heat. And if celebrities are present, you will be stuck wherever you are. The DJ on Glow Thursdays played way too much music from the Bay area, but tried to play music from every region.\r I give it a C for effort.

The music is always great but I went on a saturaday recently and it was asian crowd. The dancefloor is too small.

pros and cons

I turned onto Cherokee, passed Geisha House and try to get the $8 structure parking. No luck. So I give up and pay $20 for self parking in the lot between Cherokee and Las Palmas. I thought there'd be a sign that read ""LAX"". Nope. More like ""Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant"" The security all seem good-natured yet professional. The inside decor is nice with the jellyfish floating in the illuminated tank at the bar...... view more

No one listen to the people who are recommending this place. It sucks...Bouncers are pointless small men (stout African American) who FORTUNATELY control the freak show, if it wasn't for them I would waste more time and money at the place. And the people recommending this place are most likely females who would have probably gotten accepted at any other club in the world if they were to try.

Not impress

Not impress. Over price water down drinks. Rude a$$ cashier at the front door. Music was alright... However the overall atmosphere was ZZZZ.

I went here to celebrate my 21st birthday after other clubs were requiring me to pay over $1000 because I had a guestlist of 25 ppl and they said i would have to pay for bottle service. Well this club had the most amazing bouncers in the world. They gave me and my group top priority and let all the girls in for free. Once we got inside the place was really stuffy and there was cigarrette smoke everywhere but after a ... view more

Good times

Had some friends come to visit me a few weeks ago and planned a girls night out. We ended up at LAX around midnight. We had no problem getting in as there was no line outside. The crowd inside is very mixed and I would have to say its definatly in the girls favor as there are more guys in there. The drinks seemed pretty norm for a hollywood club (around $10). I know its not as much of a happening place as it once was... view more
