We went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and we had never been treated so badly. As we walked in, a waiter told us to take a seat in the only table available (didn?t even walk us over, just pointed to the table). We sat down and notice a reserved sign on the table. Just then another waiter comes up and begins to play with the reserved sign and turns it around for us to read ?Reserved?. Then he told us that the table was reserved and that we couldn?t sit there. We told him the other waiter had told us to take the table. He made up some BS story about how the chandelier was faulty and it was dangerous for us to sit there. He told us that we had a lot of options but basically we needed to get up and leave. As he walked away we took a moment to discuss what to do, just then the waiter walks by again and tells us ?Ok seriously ladies, you need to get up and leave!? We left quietly but not before getting his name, Jason. Jason was this white guy and we are Hispanic. I feel it?s necessary to mention our ethnicity because I really felt that Jason was discriminating us. We couldn?t think of any other reason for his mistreatment because we were dress appropriately and we are good looking girls. I never write reviews but I just felt really disgusted by Jason's behavior.

If I had based this on the first time I went to 25 degrees, I would have rated this place a 5, but after my latest visit, I have decided to drop 1 star. I almost rated it a 3, but the food was too awesome the drop it that low. My latest visit was frustrating. The person up from with the ""waiting list"" lied to us when he told us it would be 20-30 minutes. We ended up waiting for about 1 hour!!! The crowd was really ""hollywood"" and that prevented us to get prompt seating. Nobody really comes in there on a Friday night to eat and leave, as we were doing. Now, the food...oh boy! The burgers there are really awesome and the variety of cheeses, toppings, and sauces are amazing. I had a sirloin, with blue cheese and chipotle sauce (a warning for those who like blue cheese: it is really strong, so be careful!). The fries there are awesome and the onion rings are the among the best I've ever had! My tip for this place: If you want to just eat and leave, without having to deal with ""hollywood"", don't go on a Friday or Saturday night...make it a lunch. All in all, this place is awesome. Just be prepared for less than decent service and kind of a pricy bill. 64 dollars (including an 8 dollar tip) for three burgers, three sodas, and 1 order of onion rings and fries! But oh boy the burger was worth it!

Been there a couple of times so this reveiw is based on several experiences.

First up - the Burgers are excellent. Great meant, cooked to order, and full of flavor. Also the fries and onion rings are equally tasty. And like all joints these days, they've got the sweet potato fries - also good. Lots of interesting additions to your meal including a various selection of cheeses (not your standard flavors), all kinds of leavery including arugula, and dipping sauces are excellent.

Also, I highly suggest the Guinness Millkshake. Really these things are amazingly tasty and full of flavor. My wife doesn't drink beer, but pounded one down pretty well.

Now the not so great - start with Service. Many times in the multiple trips there - our waiter/waitress disappeared for 15-20 minutes at a time. It's not a big place, so they can't hide easily. Also, the food can take a while so be prepared to wait.

Finally, there can be a bit of attitude from the staff if they feel you aren't up to whatever hipness factor they feel their sporting. Oh yeah, the prices while good, aren't great. You'll pay more because you're in the base of the Roosevelt Hotel and across from the Chinese Theater.

Overall go for a burger before a movie but give yourself plenty of time.

The decor in quite stylish in a classic way, but the place plays the most terrible out dated music ever. Its like the play list of some 40- something swinger party in Sherman Oaks. I heard envogue then some Bruce Springston gospel number, and the rest sounded like the k-rock plastlist from 4 years ago what makes it even worse is that they blast it. Ed hardy is populer with Gangsters in Omaha nebraska and Russian valley trash thats about it. Now you really only see posers and tourists wearing it. The rest of the hotel has unique style and great non mainstream music playing throughout which gives it some hipster cred even though its in a contrived way. Change the music and the uniforms and this place would actually have style....

Went to 25 Degrees for the first time with two friends of mine and was excited to eat the food I heard so much about. At first the service was cordial, our waiter politely waited for our entire party to show before he took our order. The food was good and the helpings were generous. \r
\r
Everything seemed to go well until we got the check. My friends and I decided to split the bill evenly, with two of us using credit cards (cc) while the other paid in cash. We had a discount card that needed to be verified by the manager so they both took our money and discount card to pay the bill. When the manager and waiter returned they gave my and my friend our cc slips to tip and sign. \r
\r
What I thought was strange was that the manager waited for my friend to sign her cc slip, immediately took it from her and left the table. When I looked at my cc slip it said that I had paid for more than 90% of the bill. When I flagged the waiter to let him know of the error, he gave me MAJOR attitude and pulled a ton of cash (his tips) from his pocket and threw a 5 dollar bill on the table ""to even it out"". The manager was nowhere to be found and I was so confused that I just left the restaurant with my friends. \r
\r
The more I thought about it I realized that the waiter and manager made out with a $25+ dollar tip in the end when our bill was no more than $42! SHADY STAFF!! Needless to say, I will never EVER go to 25 Degrees again and have told all my friends, acquaintances and co-workers not to go either.

Best Burger on Earth. Doesn't matter that the location is aweful (tourists+ Teddy's crowd on friday nights+NO parking without paying $15), this Burger is soooo Good. The Garlic Parmesan Dipping sauce for the fries is unbelievable. This is one of the very few things I'm going to miss about L.A. when I move.

The service was great. The fries were really salty, but the burgers were awesome. The onion rings are worth going in for. My friend said that the tomato soup is the best he has ever had. If you don't mind paying $9-$20 for a burger, and if you can get passed a waitstaff dressed in Ed Hardy tshirts then this is the place for you.

We went in, eight of us, and had burgers. Things weren't so bad until we got our food. They gave two of the wrong items to the wrong persons and the recipients didn't like the fact that in one case, the burger was undercooked. In my case, my burger was the correct one, but overcooked. The wait staff came through and comp'd three of the lunches, which was very, very fair, if not overly so. Their apology and the generouse recompense, made me a definite for ""returning customer."" In fact, my hamburger, which was well done and not medium rare, was very, very good, but I prefer my meat pink, not brown. Nonetheless, I thought the service and the offer to pay for three lunches was great and we will definitely try it again.
