Where to start, words cannot explain the feeling you will feel after you experience true spiritual guidance from Sal. I went to El Indio Botanica with my best friend, we were both seeking answers and guidance and we were hoping Sal could help us with that. The vibe in the room was great, very positive and inviting. We had been warned about the wait time, it did take a while, but the hours went by so fast. Meeting and getting to know everyone, their experiences and Journey that brought them to visit Sal. Overall environment was great, especially for our first time….. Now we are regulars at the Botanica. If you plan on going by yourself, or if you are a shy person, please bring a book or something to keep yourself entertained and a charger for your mobile devices. If you don’t want to wait you can always pay extra for a private reading [private $100.00 and regular $25.00]. There are also a few good spots to eat and a liquor store within walking distance of the Botanica. Parking can be a little tricky; you can bring coins to feed the meter or park in the residential area and walk to the Botanica. The area is nice and we haven’t had any problems with walking around or leaving the car in the residential area. Now as far as Sal’s services, he offers reading [consultations], cleansings and jobs. During the reading he uses cards to invoke your energy and will read them as they come. He guides, gives insight and a solution in your best interest. He is a kindred spirit, very compassionate, caring, understanding, direct, crazy funny and one of the most loving people you will ever meet!! His guidance has helped me so much. I feel so much better about myself, I have seen changes in my life at home, at work and with my health and yes it’s all positive. I know what you're thinking… Ok, that sounds great but is this too good to be true? Is Sal legit? YES!!! Sal is accurate, direct, gives exact details, including names, provides solutions to resolve your situation, and leaves you walking out of his office in tears. He knows. He will not only become your spiritual companion but he will be a friend for life. He genuinely cares about people and will do everything in his power to help you. The cleansing and jobs are a little more of a unique case by case experience. Sonia does the cleansing for me; however Sal and Milagros can also provide cleanses. The outcome of your reading will dictate what kind of cleanses you are in need of as well as if you require any jobs. I really can’t get into very much detail in regards to the cleanings and the jobs because they are unique to each person, however I can say that they have been working great for me. I hope I provided some insight to the services and the experience I had at El Indio. I know that if you are in need of spiritual guidance, Sal can really help you. So stop thinking about it and just go in and get a reading done…… if Sal doesn’t blow your mind then think about it this way you’re out a few hours and 25 bucks but if he does and he will, it can change your life!
I was fortunate enough to have met Salvador, Manuel, and Milagro at Botanica El Indio many years (and two locations) ago when I was referred to Botanica El Indio by word-of-mouth. In 1998, I was on a directionless search for spiritual advisors because up until meeting my El Indio "family", I had only vague, inaccurate, incomplete, stereotypical, and otherwise mostly self-taught knowledge of true mediums. And during my quest, I've come across many self-proclaimed and self-glorified, so-called spiritual mediums and phony "santeros" who clearly were just making up things that sounded good from the top of their heads with no real working knowledge of their craft. And when I had asked questions that they could not answer, I was told that I would have to first pay hundreds of dollars for a response. Those fake santeros were clearly out to swindle "suckers" and exploit their current state of pain, misfortune, or heartache. That was refreshingly NOT the case when I'd finally found my way "home" to my new family-- and that is exactly the feeling that you will get when you are welcomed at El Indio. "Family." I cannot say enough great things about Salvador, Manuel, Milagro as well as now Sonia, and Ana. Although the atmosphere of Botanica El Indio may appear somewhat lax, don't presume this to be indicative of incompetence, but more illustrative of earned confidence in a warm, safe, family atmosphere. Sal IS the REAL deal; He will see your "dirt" that you've told no one else. He will see what's blocking you or who is trying to harm you. And he will give you accurate names! He will guide you to achieving results for your goals. Sal is not someone who'd picked up a book one day and then decided to become a spiritual advisor to make a fast buck. Working with the spirit world does not work that way and I feel sorry for those who abuse their gift, or lie about having a gift at all, or simply don't know what they're doing. I surely wouldn't want to insult an orisha! Real mediums, advisors, and santeros are either born with the gift or have studied for many years under an established mentor. Sal was BORN gifted. Of course, every medium has to make a living--but the rates at Botanica El Indio are substantially miniscule in comparison to the audacious rates that other spiritual advisors demand. Salvador doesn't need to price-gouge anyone because his reputation, his effectiveness, and his consistently, loyal, extensive clientele--who become family--speak volumes. Salvador is not only my advisor, but he is also my friend and my confidante, and I hold him (and the rest of my Santeria family) near and dear to my heart. If you have a genuine interest in genuine Santeria--look no further, you've found exactly what you've been seeking. I would suggest visiting the botanica for a reading--just be sure to call first because Salvador is internationally in demand and he may be out of town when you're planning on visiting. -- Ramon
I appreciate the Crenshaw Walmart very much for the following reasons: As a businessman, I use this Walmart as a training tool for my employees; I show them how a business should not be run and how they should not behave as an employee in my business. As part of the training program I taken my employees (paid-time) to this Walmart to educate them about the consequences of being sloppy and disgusting. Every new applicant that I consider hiring must agree to go through this training if hired. I point out to them that the practices of this Walmart branch are precisely what they must avoid and do exactly the opposite to be an employee in my business. I assure you, it works and saves me many hours of training. The practices they must avoid are the following: a) Being sloppy and messy b) Keeping the store and the bathrooms dirty and filthy c) Not making themselves available to the customers d) Behaving in arrogant and dismissive manner toward customers e) Wearing trousers with the waist so low to show their underwear d) wearing trousers with crotches hanging near their knees as if they are making yogurt in there. I can go on but for the sake of brevity I will stop here. One more comment. To be fair to Walmart, that location is ghetto. Crenshaw is a gang ridden, filthy, poverty stricken locality that consists primarily of African Americans, Hispanics, and other minorities. I bring up this issue for this reason: just in case the Walmart corporate management in charge of this location is not aware, there are many dignified African American, Hispanic, and other minority families who live in Crenshaw as well. However, based on the demands of the exigencies of their socio-economic and familial lives, they cannot relocate from this area. Therefor it behooves Walmart, a corporation with a staggering $32.64 billion gross profits in the first quarter of 2012, to do the following: 1. Hire more well trained employees for the branch to provide excellent service. 2. Pay detailed attention to hygiene in the store and in the bathrooms. 3. Be fully stocked at all times. 4. Aim to Create a safe, and welcoming atmosphere for the decent residents of Crenshaw. 5. Keep in mind that chaos, filth, and disrepair, generates chaos, filth, and disrepair by attracting elements who are drawn to chaos, filth, and disrepair. This cycle sustains itself by feeding on itself.
