Given how great an experience I had with Honda of Downtown Lo Angele (“HDLA”), I felt compelled to write a po itive review on every ite I could find. Before I tarted writing I couldn’t help but read all the previou review – and I realized omething: if I had read tho ...moree review even a day earlier I never would have et foot in ide the dealer hip. It i part of the re earch that I normally do before a car purcha e, o it i unu ual that I neglected it thi time, but I am o glad that I did. My experience tarted Friday with a erie of email and phone call with Michael Gennello and Enrique Correa of HDLA’ Internet Sale Department. I brought to them the be t offer I had received after a couple week of contacting dealer all over Southern California (I wa looking for an Ody ey minivan), and they were courteou and plea ant and hone t about what they could do and what they could not do. They ended up quoting (what I thought wa ) a terrific lea e deal (in an email, with pecific ) and, ince they had the color I wanted, I told them I would be in fir t thing Saturday to pick up the car. They aid only to a k for “Rico” when I arrived. When it came time to drive to the dealer hip ye terday, I felt a pang of anxiety a it dawned on me that I wa being handed off to omeone who might not honor the deal I had been offered. Then, when I arrived at the dealer hip (a little early, I admit), “Rico” wa not in (yet). My anxiety grew. I wa handed off to Charle Reneaux, a young, very friendly ale per on who promi ed to honor any deal I had been promi ed the night before but had no information or pecific . Al o, luckily, another “Internet Manager” appeared who claimed to have been aware of the deal and who aid he would try to track down the pecific “in the computer.” I cro ed my finger . Ju t at that moment, the owner and pre ident of HDLA, Joe Shu ter, walked in and introduced him elf and a ked if there wa anything he could do. I could only a ume, from him and from the half-dozen employee that did exactly ame thing, that all the attention wa due to the fact that it wa before 9am on a Saturday and I wa the only cu tomer on the ale room floor. Obviou ly I could not ob erve every interaction that they were having with every other cu tomer that morning, but from what I aw, the taff wa friendly and warm to everyone that came in to the howroom. Mr. Shu ter wa very friendly and chatted me up – about the deal term , about what I do, about my family (I wa there for a minivan after all), about hi experience a the new owner of the dealer hip. He al o decided to per onally over ee the tran action and made ure that everyone wa “taking care of me.” Charle wa great too, hu tling all around, making ure the car wa getting prepped, that finance wa readying the paperwork, that he had the nece ary ignature on the nece ary document , and o on. Even though the day appeared to be going perfectly, it wa at thi point, however, after the owner had taken a per onal intere t in the deal, that I became mo t anxiou that the whole thing wa going to fall apart. Remembering pa t experience , I feared that the owner, once taking a look at the pecific of what wa , objectively, a very aggre ive deal, would put a top to the whole thing. But he did not. Mr. Shu ter, along with hi ale per on, Charle , hepherded the proce along and made ure I got exactly what I wa promi ed. All in all, I had a terrific experience at Honda of Downtown Lo Angele . Thi for the Service Dept and EDDIE CABRERA.. I purcha ed my car in June 2012 from another BMW dealer and it wa in and out of the hop(dealer) THREE MONTHS in a row. So needle to ay I had a HUGE chip on my houlder and bad ta te in my mouth for ALL BMW DEALERS and their...more ervice department . So I get to Nick Alexander becau e my Check Engine Oil Level light i on(I called ahead and they aid I didn't need an appt ju t bring it by)..One guy come out and he' nice, but then another guy come out(Eddie) and tart a king me all the e que tion -- (I wa thinking "OK I know what the light aid and all I need i the Oil topped off. What with all the que tion ??"--remember chip on houlder from previou experience --) Anyway que tion lead to checking under the hood and now finding "coolant re idue" now Im really thinking here we go again the STEALER i trying to get in my pocket . He point out ome thing (wait -- I heard that they did thi ort of thing but that never happened at the other dealer). Eddie i REALLY patient and calm, and begin to how me ome thing that were of concern for him. He wanted to keep the car; make ure everything wa ok. I declined becau e - again bad experience and I ju t didn't feel like changing car -- al o I didn't want a RENTAL from the vendor they u ed. Anyway I tell Eddie I really don't want a rental Id rather a loaner, and a ked how long would they need my car, he aid once checked it houldn't be too long -- I think yeah ok becau e the other DEALER kept my car a minimum of a 3 three day -- So I agree to bring it back on Tue day when he aid I would be able to get into a loaner and he would let me know a ap, what wa going on and how long it would take to repair.. So Im going to wrap thi all up and ay he i a GREAT SERVICE ADVISOR -- didn't pu h and a e ed all of the thing that needed to be addre ed and called me by 1pm that day. He had all approved repair completed and car wa ready by the EOD but wanted me to pick it up the next day ju t to make ure all wa right. Thi experience wa a huge difference than my previou one -- They may not be a fla hy a ome of the other BMW dealer but the ervice wa great and I didn't feel like I wa getting the run around. He helped unload and reload my tuff back into my car. Oh yeah I forgot omething in the loaner and he got to it right before the loaner wa ent out with another cu tomer and kept it overnight for me. NOW THAT IS WHAT I EXPECT FROM A BMW DEALER-- if you have to pay a premium price tag for a brand than I u pect the SERVICE hould be a PREMIUM ONE! What an Awe ome dealer hip!

When I aw the car that I wanted online I wa amazed. Other cion were either poor condition (interior/ext), alvage title, too many mile , manual, etc. Thi car wa my ideal one, with a great white pearl color, the be t condition I had ever een for a 06 and great price (...morebut of cour e I till negotiated for a lower price) from the beg., when I inquired about the car over the phone, I wa treated with great cx ervice from the ale dept. when I had que tion to a k-(and I have a lot at time , remedial one too) they took their time and an w. profe ionally  THANKS TO KURT S for hi profe ionali m and patience (while other dealer were impatient and an w que tion hort and quickly) o I decided to head down to DT Ni an to look at the car…GREAT experience, I initially dreaded going there and anticipated a RIFFOFF…Hone tly NO Buyer’ Remor e here! Be t deal I’ve ever made and tru t me I am a REAL cu tomer. I like prai e /commending bu ine e for a job well done and expre ing contempt when a bu ine i incompetent and ha a failing performance.
