This place is the to-go-to-bike shop. He gets the job done quicker than most places and his prices are pretty low compared to most places. The other day I was looking for some Primo, Demolition, and Eastern parts; I found them here. I compared his prices to online prices, and I did find some cheaper online but in the long run I realized I got better prices with this guy because I would not have to pay for shipping costs. Last time I went here, I needed him to do a tune-up on my bike; he told me it would take approximately a day or two, but he did let me know that it could possibly take longer than expected because he tries to get the easy jobs over with before getting to the more-time consuming jobs. He explained that tune-ups take lots of time and are not really worth doing since not much profit is gained. I reasoned with his explanation and accepted it. So if you would like a great bike shop to get your repairs, you should definitely check this place out.
This is THE store to visit if you want to get personalized service. The owner loves to fix up Schwinn Bicycles from the 50's and 60's, and commonly has 80 or so of these bikes in stock. The employees have started a fixed gear club that meets on a regular basis for drag racing. There is no other store like this one in the Los Angeles area. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. They also seem to have every imaginable type of bike and part in the world. To top it off, they rent bikes to the movie studios and others in the entertainment biz. So they have bikes on display that have been used in movies and music videos. The shop looks like its name. They have fixed it up to look like a surf shop in Hawaii. Very, very cool shop with the nicest people on the planet.
My Busettii e-bike has been lots of fun for 2 years now. Busettii is well known in southern California for long range high speed high quality e-bikes that are made in the USA. I really like the fast motor and the long range so I can get a good 50 mile ride in without pedaling. When I pedal with the motor that becomes about 70 miles. I ride the Super 50 Mile bike and I often ride thru the Silver lake area which has huge hills. I think this the only e-bike that can handle Silver lake hills. The motors and batteries on these bikes are way ahead of everyone else. I now have 4 friends that also ride Busettii e-bikes and they have good reviews for Busettii now. My Busettii review is : If you can get one of these bikes GET one. Good clean fun. Dennis
