Open Grill. Fresh Baked Bread. I was really impressed. I went there with some of my friends. The menu had white fish, steak, filet mignon, lamb, fresh salads, vegetarian and vegan dishes. The service as A+. We went on a Friday Nite, even though it was busy--the management was very professional and service with the food on the table was quick and food was nice and hot and delicious. I think Shamshiri Grill is a great place to go with friends because they serve alcohol. I order Red Wine. It is also a nice place to take a date because it has a nice ambiance. The music is nice and classy. Not too loud. Food is affordable. Lunch menu is like $6.95 and they do free delivery. I took a to-go menu home and I am totally ordering food from them to my home. I heard that they do catering for a lot of the Temples and Churches near by. I am asking my management to order delivery at our office! Yummy. They also have 6 kinds of rice. They even have brown rice! :) Not a typical Persian Restaurant. The walls are a tuscany orange and the paintings are beautiful. The tables are granite and the waiters and waitress seem to enjoy working there. Try it out. From a WLA neighbor to another, Shamshiri Grill is a recommended place in my Little Black Book of Amazing Restaurants ! :)-Samantha
My girlfriend and I were overly excited to go to Mi Piace after months of anticipation. The restaurant was a little stuffy and pretentious, but it's…
This is our go-to place when we want a quick meal or when we need somewhere local to take guests. It even has the seal of approval from our rather unadventurous parents. The drink selection includes artisan beers and lots of local (and far-flung) wines. I'm always able to get a great glass of Pinot Noir or Shiraz or sometimes enjoy The menu is not huge, but the food is fresh and consistently good. There are even a couple of vegetarian-friendly dishes: the truffle grilled cheese, the mac and cheese, and the portobello burger. If you want a quiet meal, don't go here on the weekend or when there's a Lakers game. A weekday night is best, when you'll easily get a seat in one of their comfy booths. Don't be fooled by the slightly sketchy appearance of York Blvd, The York is a friendly and (almost) authentic British Gastropub - possibly the only one in LA.
When you first arrive at this place, you are thinking what the F???.. looks ghetto...but once inside.. this place has that hole in the wall charm.. This is one great Ecuadorian restaurant in Los Angeles. It's right next to Don Felix Peruvian restaurant which is also a great place.. I have tried their beef empanada and the breaded steak dish and they were all good.. also, try to soup.. wow.. tasty.. but the best is the Lomo Saltado (which is a thin cut of beef steak in a tomato, onion sauce over fries). Funny thing is the Don Felix next door has the same dish but I think the Ecuadorian version is better... also they have some wines and sangria which will make this a great meal... like someone wrote it's a mix of Latin and Italian food..
