Small and rustic, this restaurant provides the best bang for your buck. I have personally sampled 10 different thai restaurants in the area, and this one is simply the finest. With enormous portions, extremely friendly service, and some of the best flavors Thai food has to offer, I can't say enough good things about this place. I work with a gentleman who had eaten Thai food once before at what I'd consider the worst attempt at Thai Cuisine in the area, and whenever I would ask him to go with us for Thai at lunch, he would respond "Can't we go somewhere where the food is Edible?". After finally convincing him to join us, he has become a regular and suggests coming here at least twice a week. The cooks are accomodating, and will add and remove ingredients to your dish if requested. There are approximately 8 tables in the small dining area, so if you go during the prime lunch hour you will end up waiting. I've found that arriving at 11:30 or 1:00 is excellent to ensure you get a seat right away, although we have been lucky arriving at noon on several occasions. Regardless, the food and atmosphere are well worth the wait. Personally consumed and enjoyed: Pad Thai, Pad Thai Curry, Pad Almond, Pad Pak, Pa Nang, Pad See Ew, Kow Pad Pak, Pad Almond, Drunken Noodle, and others.
Terrific Pad Thai! My wife and I both had pad thai; hers was mild while mine was medium. The quantities were large and the food was delicious. The owners even gave me a discount on the food simply because their credit card machine was down for the evening. I've seen a handful of restaurants in that space over the last few years. I just hope this particular one has some staying power. It seems like a great place to dine in, but we chose take out...this time at least.
Great food, lunch prices are a great deal. You can pretty much ask for anything, even if it is not on the menu and they can do it. Watch the daily specials for something different, had the fresh rolls with peanut sauce the other day and I would order again. They are better than most at getting the spice right. Medium is a nice burn but not overpowering. Very friendly family owned business.
