        Dr. Westcott is a graduate of Wayne State University graduating with her undergraduate studies in biology. She holds her doctorate degree in chiropractic from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic. Her dedication to her education and strong philosophy of chiropractic and natural healthy lifestyle clearly reflects on the care her patients receive while under her care. Dr. Westcott has been in her current practice for over 9 years. Dr. Westcott has 3 children and is married to the president of Enablepoint Inc. Dr. Westcott's approach to achieve optimum health is obvious as she sees kids from newborn to 94. Dr. Westcott also volunteers her time with Therapeutic Riding helping challenged kids ride horses. I live my life through chiropractic and have been since I was 19 years old. I too was skeptical. I am a genuine person about what I do and if I do not have an answer, I will find one or refer the question to another expert. I will not tell you that I can cure anything or that I specialize in headaches, shoulder pain, etc. I know that if your problem is coming from the spine, then your symptoms will go away.         Dr. Westcott specializes in using the Pulstar FRAS analysis and adjusting instrument. This is the state of the art computerized equipment which allows the doctor to analyze the spine, and then give safe, gentle, and effective adjustments. There are few chiropractors in the state of Michigan using this technique. BRAND We're proud to be one of the few chiropractic offices in our area to have acquired the Pul-Star Analysis and Treatment System. It's fairly expensive and it's high tech but we are committed to providing the highest quality of care we possibly can to our patients. How it Works In the analysis mode, the PulStar tests each vertebra by generating a gentle mechanical impulse (light tap) and uses a sensor in the impulse head to measure each vertebra's resistance to the impulse. When all vertebrae are moving normally, their resistance is fairly equal. But if some vertebrae are restricted in motion fixated/subluxated), their resistance to the impulse is higher th an the resistance of normally moving vertebrae. Normal movement of each and every spinal joint is considered to be essential to good spinal function. Once a joint is determined to be fixated, the PulStar may also be used to give small, gentle, mechanical thrusts into the restricted joint to help breakup fixation, relieve muscle spasm, and restore normal joint mobility. In some cases, a series of these treatments may be necessary to obtain maximum benefits. Precision and gentleness are the key notes to the PulStar System's popularity and appeal. FDA Clearance The PulStar has been reviewed by the FDA and approved for use for musculoskeletal pain due to joint subluxation, restricted joint mobility, myofascial spasm, ligamentous strain as well as tissue compliance analysis.

        If Dr. Westcott were to move to another State with her practice, I can honestly say without a doubt I would go the distance to keep her as my doctor. So much more than her obvious skill as a doctor is the fact her approach is holistic in belief with her suggestions as to how to direct and educate us on how the body is intended to be treated....as a "whole ! " Her state of the art equipment shortened my healing time immensely after a should injury other doctors doomed me for to have immediate surgery....or else. I was directed to her office via a Feldenkrais connection I had and found almost immediate relief my first visit there. Her suggestions for exercise, diet changes, etc..... between visits......made me feel I was in the best hands possible that this was finally a doctor that was knowledgeable in ALL AREAS of the body and one not wanting to write me an RX for pain pills that would only mask the problem. I am a 69 yr. old woman that wishes to remain active until I reach the age of 101, (or more!) and NOT WAITING until I get myself into trouble, but rather seeing her for frequent "tune-up's" in order to reach my goal. Seeing a chiropractor yearly, (or more!) is an important as our physicals and dental check-up and should become a part of everyone's total health regime !
