When I went there, it was toward closing.....we obviously were seated right away. We sat in the smoking section (which is a die hard issue anymore) which here, is in the bar. The hostess, the manager and the server were all pleasant and helpful. The server had some suggestive selling to do, which we took them up on. The appetizers were DELISH! - Shrimp & Artichoke Dip Shrimp, artichokes and spinach baked together and bubbling with Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Served with Parmesan bread crisps We didn't leave one crumb on the plate. The meal itself was also very tasty. Lot of flavors going on that night at Macaroni Grill - starting with the Artichoke Dip, leading into the dinner salad and finally to my main dish: Sicilian Four-Cheese Ravioli Four cheese ravioli layered with mild Italian sausage, melted cheese, roasted peppers and onions with a zesty tomato sauce, then baked until golden - OMG! that was heaven dancing many flavors to my taste buds (but not overpowering) After the appetizer and dinner, finishing with a smoke and a drink, there was no room left for the great looking and sounding desserts. I'm sure they would have been great as well, but - no room left! the prices are reasonable for the amount of food and the service. Gemini Jill Don't forget to tip! I tried mama mia for the first time 2 months ago upon recommendation by a family friend. I wanted to good old authentic pizza. I was so impressed I've been back maybe 7 times since then. The service was always friendly, the family knows me by name already and the food is really impressive. The homemade cannoli's are probably the best I've had yet.
This place is always super busy, so try to avoid weekends and dinner times if you dont want to wait for a table! Other then that, the food is always good and the wait staff is just a bit above average. There used to be a waiter there named Devon that was amazing, I was sad to hear he no longer worked there.
