2nd Street Bistro
French Restaurants
Livingston MT
"I had heard how great 2nd Street Bistro was, so decided to check it out. I went during happy hour (5-6pm) where appetizers and a few cocktails are half price. I started out with a cocktail called the Pink Tulip, which was raspberry flavored vodka, lemon juice, and lemonade. I found it to be very bitter, so I was disappointed with it. For an apptizer I ordered the fried okra. I couldn't resist getting okra because it is so hard to find in Montana. I liked it- it had a nice crunch to it, but could have used more seasoning in the batter. For dinner I ordered the meatloaf and mashed potatoes for $18. The meatloaf is homemade from veal, pork, and beef, and the flavors worked really well together. It was the best meatloaf I have had in a very long time. The mashed potoates were creamy, yet chunky, and had a nice flavor. The portions were just right, and the plate had eye appeal.Service was okay- it took awhile for the bartender to notice me, but once he did everything went well. Overall I really enjoyed everything. My only complaint were the prices. But, you get what you pay for, and this was quality food."
