I give this campsite a 3 for the scenery and fun things to do around the site for our teens. We've been camping here for many many years as my in-laws have a seasonal trainer here. We prefer to camp in a tent on our site that is situated at a place where there is a bridge, a babbling brook and a road that leads to other areas of the campsite. Sadly, through the years, the noise level at this place has gotten so bad that we have now nicknamed it "Camp Decibel", due to the painful (and rather early and/or late) sounds of golf carts trailing noisy rattling equipment, ATVs galore constantly going back and forth; and our newest problem; the "Bob The Builder" camper across the stream that thinks nothing of starting up his gas-powered leaf blower at the crack of dawn (yes, even on a quiet Sunday morning). I mean, seriously folks, leaves happen. It's camping!! And let's not discount the noisy neighbors (and friends with "Bob The Builder") who cackle at all hours and blast their 'ethnic' music until midnight or after and then SING loudly to this music. There is only so much a person can take. We are young, fun and energetic people who have 5 teens and enjoy the great outdoors. We can handle noise. To say that this campsite is noisy, you can only imagine how bad it is if I'm writing this review. You can't enjoy a nice quiet fire at night here as in years passed. The ATVs are growing, despite the owners' policy of "no new campers allowed to have ATVs". This is complete bull, because Bob The Builder has one and he's a new camper. So annoying. To add insult to injury, this campsite is not well maintained any longer. There was fecal matter in my shower stall this past August, and the owners are really not very happy or warm and fuzzy people. The guy that delivers the wood to your campsite simply grunts at you when you say "thank you" and overall the feel is "take whatever people and money they have so we can stay in business". The bathroom near our site has also been boarded up all Summer long, forcing all of those lazy ATV riders to putt-putt past us to the main bathhouse. Oh, and forget the 5 MPH signage throughout. If you have a small children or dog who may wander into the road, i'm frightened to say that they WILL be run over by these people, who literally stare at you as if YOU are in their way! The owner's do NOTHING about this serious and deadly problem. Heaven forbid you say something to the ATV riders, as you'll most likely get an angry response that will not leave you reassured. It would not be an exaggeration to say that these jerks were driving about 25-30 MPH as I was trying to set my tent up this Labor Day weekend. Crazy!! It's just an ugly domino effect here. They've also let, in my humble opinion, serious 'trash' into this campsite, and it has become intolerable to us. These campers have absolutely no regard for quiet time before/after reasonable hours. Our in-laws are now selling their trailer, and we are looking at close-by sites like Hunter Lake instead, so that we can protect our childrens' long friendships they have made with the campers here. That is all this campsite is good for at this point. Sorry! Please don't waste your family's time here!!
