I purchased my gas fireplace and am pleased with the product. However, the two times I have needed service I have been anything but pleased. The fireplace was not assembled properly the first time. During the recent service call we learned a part holding a wall up had been damaged from the prior call and the owner gave us a hard time over the issue. It was his tone and the way he spoke. He accused me of causing the damage. He hung up on me stating &quot;Take your check and shove it up your ___ and never call me again&quot; Wow. Nice customer service. Also know they do not stock parts and service technicians do not carry tools as simple as shop vac for clean up. The most recent tech did not know how to properly remove the doors of my fireplace. Consider these things before you purchase.
I have told the truth and phone records showing the incoming call from the store to me (unsolicited) will back up my testimony. The two requests for service left my fireplace with broken parts. I have pictures of the fireplace to back up my statment.
The unit was installed in 12/03, and ran fine till 05/08 when a service call was need to replace the thermocouple. The unit ran fine again untill 12/11 when the burner got clogged with spider webs, (a common problem), and would not work properly, again we serviced the unit and it now runs fine. The customer was blamed us for everything, yelling at my service person, tearing up the bill and throwing it into woods. My service person remaind calm, wrote out another bill and handed it to the customer. They called the store and started yelling at me. The rest of a long story short, I NEVER want to SEE or HEAR from THEM again and did not take there money. Totally unreasonable.
