If you are in the Rosedale area, and you only have five bucks and some loose change and ARE STARVING, then Sunshine Mart is the place for you. It's really just like a gas station, without all that pesky gas... People don't really come here for the convenience store merchandise... They come because of the food. You get a LOT for a very reasonable price here. The $5 cheeseburger here is really hard to finish off all by yourself (Make it a DOUBLE for $1 more - ONE DOLLAR, that's just ridiculous), and add to it the fries and the insanely large 44oz drink that comes with it...(all drink sizes-same price) You are going to be full. But don't expect really quick service or some elegant culinary masterpiece here, these guys aren't just set up for it. But if you are in this area, and you have a few bucks and an appetite...stop by
I'd like to start this review with pointing out this is not a supercenter, but you really wouldn't know that by walking into the store. I've been to other neighborhood markets and they usually just have grocerys. This neighborhood market has a rather large selection of gm items. No, the gm side isn't as big as a supercenter, but it's not lacking many gm items. The pharmacy is so convenient and the staff are always willing to help. If you're around the store, I advise you to stop in and have a look.
Whole Foods is one of the best organic grocery stores. They offer a variety of nice things to choose from. I enjoy coming here for lunch and making a plate from the awesome selection of items they have. The chocolate chip cookies are good too. I’m not too heavy into gluten free or sugar free items, but they have options for all diets. I still shop at other grocery stores due to habit and convenience, but I love the experience I get when coming into these stores.
