I have fine (mostly gray hair) and had been looking for a salon to get my hair done and a cut that I could do something with !!
I found Wes. Love the way my hair is cut and the color is amazing. I have hair that wants to go everywhere but where I want it to. With a fantastic cut from Wes I am actually getting remarks about how great my hair looks. Just finished my second visit and scheduled a return app. I have to add the massage chair is awesome.



Well I just moved to Arkansas and was in need of a stylist.So I searched the internet and discovered Studio XS Salon.I read all the positive reviews,especially about the owner Wes Thomas.I booked an appointment and was blown away by the results of my Hair cutting and coloring experience. I have never been so pleased with a salon experience in my life.I found the best stylist around in Wes.You can always tell when someone loves to do what they do.

I haven't been to a beauty salon in probably 25 years. I chose XS Salon because of the excellent ratings. Wes did my hair. There are no words to describe his talent and ability, except "perfection" and "excellence". I'm recently divorced and feeling down about myself, but Wes made me feel so much more confident and worthy. I appreciate him so much. He made me feel and look like a new woman!!! Thank you so very much.



XS is the appropriate name for this Salon.Because I always feel Excessed when I leave there.Wes Thomas(owner) is truly a great stylist.His skills in coloring and cutting /styling are so on point.Ive been a loyal client ever since the first visit 2 yrs ago.I love my hair.Thank you Wes for great hair and a great atmosphere to relax in as well.



I just got my hair cut and styled today at XS and let me tell you, the service was great! I had actually just walked in without an appointment (not advising that) and was just trying my luck. I had to wait for a while as expected but the people were so friendly and nice about it that the wait felt like no time at all. I was blessed to have the very intelligible Stevie,who has over 20 years experience, and right off the bad he tried to get to know me and my hair haha. He knew exactly what he was talking about and I felt very comfortable in his care. In the end I came out with an AMAZING classic cut and a new friendship with my stylist. Stevie even made the haircut complimentary since I had waited a while! Really awesome experience and just lifted my whole day overall. This is definitely my number one recommended salon and I've been to many!



Stylist, Stevie McFarland i have to say is one of the most talented stylist i have ever experienced. Not only is he talented in Color, haircuts, he does it all. He takes the time to get to know you and exactly what you are wanting he truly cares. He is great with corrective hair color, and amazes me with creative hair color. He is one of the best i have ever seen doing Guys hair cuts. He does makeup, Up dos that are phenomenal! Believe me, you will love the treatment you get with Stevie. Thank you Studio XS for a wonderful experience


Exceptional Experience!

XS owner, Wes toke care of me. My hair was fried and dried and bleached! He did not have a great head of hair to work with. He colored my fragile hair the blonde I wanted. He pampered me all the while foiling. It was a long day but I felt right at home. I was introduced to the staff. I had the best time. Wes is going to be bringing my hair back from the brittle brink! He was very honest with what I can expect and what is realistic and what will look great. I am so happy I found Wes and XS Salon. I actually have an appointment to get lash extensions next week!





I discovered this salon 3 yrs ago and I use all members of the salon for their expertise .

i can not say enough positive things about this salon.I have never had anything but the best service I could possible find in the Little Rock area from head to toe in a beautiful setting.

I use Brittany for my cuts and colors.

I use Holly for the XS Smoothing treatments.

I use Stevie for special event makeup and updos.

I use Mindy for Shellac Manicures and Pedicures

I use Wes for lash tinting.

So I literally use everyone in the salon and get the best of the best in all areas.

Go to Brittany! I have always been one to change my hair a lot from one extreme to the other. In which case changing my hair so much has caused some damage over the years. When I first came to Brittany last year I had been coloring my hair dark brown for about a year and wanted to go back blonde. She explained to me that it was in the best interest of my hair if we slowly lightened it in steps. It took about three months which was longer than what I wanted to wait to have my bright blonde hair back, but I LOVED that the health of my hair was still in tact! I bought products from their "absolut repair" line and would highly recommend this line if you put your hair threw as many color changes as I do!



Let me preface this post by saying: I’m not the kind of person to complain. I understand mistakes happen. I have never written a bad review for a business—EVER. I’m pretty easy to please- even when it comes to my hair. With that being said, I went to this salon after reading all of the great reviews online. I was booked with Brittany. I had some highlights already, but this time I decided to change it up a bit and add some lowlights. Well it has been over a week and I am still heartbroken over how my hair turned out. Simply put, my hair looked like a wreck. I wanted caramel colored lowlights—which I told her. What I ended up with was DARK brown (almost black) hair with bright blonde streaks. I did not realize just how bad it was until I got home and took a closer look at it. I was mortified and all my friends were too. I called Brittany and (very nicely) told her strait up that I hated my hair and it was not what I asked for. I will not quote her, but let’s just say she was less than accommodating. I get that she was probably offended that I did not like her hair job, but she didn’t have to be as snide as she was. (Let’s remember—I was the one with the screwed up hair). She never said she was sorry that I did not like my hair. She never apologized. She just told me I could book with her again so she could try to fix it. (Obviously I did not) Instead, I booked with another salon with a stylist that a friend of mine recommended. When the stylist saw my hair she said what everyone had been thinking, “This is tragic.” It truly was. It took a LOT of work that day to fix my hair to look somewhat normal again. While it now looks 500% better than it did, it was hard to put color on the blonde streaks and tone down the dark brown ones. My hair has a long road back to normal and it’s safe to say I won’t be getting any compliments on it anytime soon. I called Brittany again yesterday and requested some of my money back (even just the 20$ tip I gave her! While nothing can be done about my hair, I would feel a little better if I was not out all of that money too.) I explained to her again how my hair is nothing like I wanted and how I had to get it fix from another salon. She told me that XS Salon does not do refunds and that I can add baking soda to my hair to make the lowlights fade. Once again, she never apologized or acted empathetic in any way. If she would have stepped down gracefully, I never would have written this review. But alas, here I am. I would be glad to post pictures of my hair before and after XS Salon if anyone is interested. Once upon a time I had beautiful hair… Thanks a lot XS.
