The talented team at Mina's listen carefully and make your style dreams come true. They are well-versed at creating nearly any braided or weaved style - cornrows, two-strand twists, individuals, micros, fishtails, etc. They have several binders full of creative style suggestions, or you can bring your own. A perfect combination of creative and technical - the stylists at Mina's educate you about various types of extensions and color options to achieve your desired style. In most cases, the desired extension hair is included in your price. For braided styles, they also often use an ingenious method where two stylists work on you at once, greatly reducing your chair time. Neatly tucked away, in a strip plaza, Mina's Hair Braiding is an absolute treasure. However, please note that they are not a full-service salon. I highly recommend shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying your hair beforehand so you can walk in ready for them to work their magic. They also do beautiful age-appropriate styles for children. Run, don't walk, to Mina's Hair Braiding.
day 2 day is a nice looking shop, and Tamika the owner does a good job with hair, and she keeps it healthy.Only problem is if she don't like you she isn't as friendly, she sometimes has an ugly attitude, and she knows everything so don't challenge her,or she won't return appt calls and will ignore messages. She did my hair perfect every time,it was soft and silky. If you can stand a sometimey attitude go to her,but don't say you weren't warned.p.s if she don't like you she won't show up at apt on her light days, you will be waiting outside and she won't come..she apologizes the next time you see her,but its not genuine because she did me like that 3 times.Good Luck
I first came here b/c it was the only hair salon in the area that would do a relaxer for $55, instead of the usual $75 and up. What I wasn't expecting was the quality. At my old salon, they charged $55, but they used a blow dryer, a flat iron, and a whole lot of product that left my hair with a greasy feel. At Beautiful You (which I think might be renamed, but it's the same number), the stylist, Wonica, used rollers and a sit-down dryer, which is much healthier for your hair. She also included a trim and a silk wrap at no extra cost. I've had an excellent experience at this salon for over a year. Trust me, you get MORE than what you pay for.
