Gillettes Espyville Marina

Espyville Marina deserves 5 Stars in all categories!!! We rented pontoon boats twice this summer during peak times. Shelli was extremely helpful to accommodate our parties that included adults and children. The children were fitted with life jackets according to weight. The dock crew was friendly and explained the safe operation of the craft. AK

Employees could care less about the customers and are only worried about making a buck.Not sure where the money they do make is going because the boats are rundown,have lawn chairs for seating and they provide you with lifejackets that probably couldn't save anyone over 50lbs! Today we rented a pontoon.When it was time to return it, the boat wouldn't start. I called the marina non stop for at least 20 minutes and the line was busy! We didn't know what else to do and I ended up calling 911 because we were stranded! Keep in mind we were on the lake in front of the marina in clear eyesight. When we returned I was told by the women working in the building that I would be charged because they had to come get the boat started! After I expressed how unfair this was, she called the manager on the phone and informed him we were "pissed off". None of these employees or owner could see anything wrong with charging us because we needed assistance with THEIR property that was not damaged by us!

We had such a great time out on the lake! Thank you to the staff inside and out for all your help. The worker inside was right the lake was definitely to rough with the wave and wind to go out the day we made our reservation. I am so glad we were able to get a pontoon the next day. We had so much fun just drifting the lake and fishing. I will be going back and renting from there again...

I recently rented a pontoon boat from Gillettes Espyville Marina. I was not aware that when they asked if I had experience “operating” a pontoon boat they really meant - fixing the motor. I was expected to know that there was air in the gas line, climb over the rail of the boat, stand next to the motor, take the gas line off and let the air out and then put the line back on, then prime the motor all while floating in the middle of the lake on a very windy day with rough waters. After being stuck in the middle of the lake for over 2 hours and 3 phone calls made by me to the marina. We were finally found. No one ever called me when they could not locate our boat. No one ever offered any suggestions as to what could be wrong with the boat or what to try. I understand that sometimes things happen and boats break but I had to argue with them to only pay for 2 hours. They blamed me for not knowing how to fix the motor and for not being able to give my exact location on the lake.

The staff was rude and my paddle broke when I was just rowing. I was charged $30 and it wasn't my fault

Very rude woman either works here or runs the place. I know where I won't be docking my boat.
