        Great steak and lobster!

        THE place for steak and lobster in Lincoln! The place is showing it's age, but the low lights and atmosphere make up for a much needed make over. The most striking thing about Misty's (on Havelock only!) is the service. The same folks have been there for years and they make you feel like you're the most important person in there. Besides the great service, their kitchen staff are awesome. I've never had a steak prepared incorrectly, and the lobster is done to perfection, moist and perfectly cooked. Just about every other place in Lincoln that serves lobster over cooks it and ruins it. This is a place that you hope will never change (other than a little new paint and carpet!) and stays open until I have to have a bypass and give up red meat! My only complaint is the augratin potatoes are sometimes not hot, and the Alfredo sauce isn't a classic Alfredo. There are added ingredients that don't add to the flavor of the dish. Real Alfredo is cream, Parmigiana cheese, and butter. Nothing else. Except maybe garlic. Don't fix what ain't broke guys! Otherwise Misty's is one of our favorite Lincoln restaurants. As for the downtown location, the kitchen staff are great there too, but the servers and bar staff ruin it. Too many college kids who don't care are running the place. Fire all of them and hire older servers who know how to work a table.

        Misty s Steakhouse & Lounge is a Lincoln, Neb., restaurant known for its prime rib, steaks, burgers, custom-blended spices and microbrews. Established in 1963, it was one of the original sports bars. It has been recognized numerous times for its cuisine and as one of Lincoln s best places for dinner by the Nebraska Beef Council and Restaurant & Hospitality magazine. Misty s offers banquest facilities with accommodations for up to 150. It has two smaller rooms for groups of 20 or fewer.
