We stopped in while we were visiting Jodi's family in Lincoln. When we pulled up, we tried to find a handicapped spot. They were full, and there were very limited spots. Even though we parked quite aways away from the restaurant, there weren't adequate wheelchair ramps on the sidewalks, so it took us awhile to find one. There needs to be more sidewalk ramps available than just the one. There was a small wait but not bad. We would advise calling ahead, just in case. The seating was ok being in a wheelchair. We were seated in a main aisle, so I can get up to the table. The only complaint on this is people's chairs are pushed out in the aisles or people sitting out in the aisle, but they were quick to move so I could get by. The choices of food were endless. It was interesting to find they had everything from Mexican to American fare, and of course Italian. I have never been to a restaurant where I can have all you can eat ravioli with heavy meat sauce. Jodi liked everything but the corndogs she said there was too much corn not enough dog, but hey its Nebraska. Christopher had his favorite obsession...MEATBALLS, and Jonathan liked the ice cream where you can choose your flavor. If you cannot find something here that has your taste, then you need to keep looking at all the choices. The staff was very kind and helpful, they were quick to move a candy machine that was in the way exiting. So, if you're in the mood for Italian or some decent comfort food, then we recommend stopping in to Valentino's Grand Italian Buffet. http://familyfriendlyoutings.blogspot.com/
I have to agree with bobhackett when he called this the best Indian restaurant he's ever eaten in. I've eaten Indian food in India that wasn't this good! From the appetizers to any of the entrees you really can't miss. My favorite is the Bhuni Chicken, which I get with extra garlic and extra hot. My second favorite is the Goa Shrimp. The sauce is incredible, and there is enough shrimp even for me, and I'm an extra large guy! If it isn't hot enough, the server will bring you some Garam Masala seasoning so you can make it as hot as you like. The naan and other breads are crispy with just enough char to make them really tasty. There is a huge amount of choices for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The atmosphere is nice and soothing, low lighting with appealing art work with some really interesting Indian fusion music playing in the background. I have never had a server that was unpleasant or lazy which in Lincoln is a miracle. I would eat here every day if I could, and never tire of it. If you can't think of where to go, go to the Oven, and have something different. You won't regret it!
A St. Market has a surprisingly wide selection of good, fresh produce, quality meat and many specialty items tucked onto their shelves. They have some good sale prices and those can be comparable to or better than other, bigger, groceries. The staff is both young, courteous and vibrant as well as delightfully experienced and faultlessly customer- focused. I feel like I matter to them and that my dollar is supporting a lot of local people. This is a small store but they have a lot to offer both high and low on the shelves and items both more or less expensive. I have never been disappointed at A St. Market.
