My sister and I are both getting married this year and after I had already purchased my dress at another store in the area (and had a terrible experience with snotty, rude staff) my sister ended up purchasing from Maria at Azurite. I immediately found out how fast I could get my dress from the other store to take in for her to alter and store at Azurite. We visited Azurite dozens of times between purchasing gowns, fittings, and doing maids' dresses and we always felt welcome and comfortable. You may have to wait a few minutes to get a room to try things on (they only have 2 fitting rooms, and Maria gives each bride her undivided attention) but the wait is totally worth it! She is a magician when it comes to alterations, so if any dress is missing that little something, she's there to offer suggestions- and she really can do anything! Forget the other places in Lincoln- Azurite carries high end brands, has a great selection, and you'll never feel unwelcome or unappreciated (as I did at the place where I originally purchased my gown)!

We went to every bridal shop in Omaha and they just didn't get it. From over priced gowns to having people that had no idea (even when we brought pictures) what type of gowns to provide for trying on. So we drove to Lincoln and went to J Marie's. Not only were their gowns varied in styles and colors, but the prices were very reasonable. They definately understand brides! They listened to what look you are going for and give you the time to try on as many as you want until you find the "right" dress. We found the dress and the bridesmaid dresses also. There were no hidden costs for alterations. They are upfront with the alteration costs and if you want to take it somewhere else to have altered they are not offended. But if you check around their alteration prices are average for the industry. They opended a shop in Omaha and shuttled our dresses back and forth for trying on and fittings. This is the only bridal/prom dress shop I will ever recommend now that they are in Omaha & Lincoln.
After going to the "Big" stores and being harassed by them.... I went to June and told her HELP! and she was great. She helped me to find a dress I was happy with and it didn't cost a fortune. She answered all my questions but most importantly she listened!!! to what I wanted and what was holding me back in finding a dress for my wedding... out of kindness I put on a dress I didn't think I would like... and I felt beautiful! The experience was great... no one looking down their noses or making me feel like I needed to spend a ton of money!! It was like a small town service in Lincoln which I am grateful for... I went to the bigger stores and they called and called and one even sold my cell phone number to other vendors which really upset me... I was in the middle of clase when a lady selling makeup called me.... geez... If you want an assembly line bridal experience go to the big stores BUT if you want to be treated special... I say go here!!!
