Very affordable, close to campus and all seven hospitals, 24 hour Kroger within three city blocks- the old manager is gone and the new people have a full 24 hr staff. One employee has a degree in plumbing and was "Mr. Kentucky" in the world of college plumbing students two years running and placed in the top ten nation wide at Skills America both years- so their plumbing is all newer and even the drains have been replaced. One employee has a two year degree in HVAC and that is a big plus with me- not having to wait to get an a/c fixed They have been renovating for six months now and these are nice apartments with big picture windows in the living rooms and lots of great oak trees and green grass. I love it!!!!!!!! I am living here in a new condo quality where the manager teaches "quiet enjoyment" so my neighbors are very quiet or they get to leave. The manager does enforce the "rules" and I am a rule follower. The buildings are "non smoking" and my kids lungs do benefit as well. great home!!!!!
Really good experience with this hotel. My husband and I are truckers do we called from freightliner when our truck was towed to the shop. ..NOT our best day! ! Anyway, days inn sent their free shuttle to pick us up. We waited less than 45 minutes for it. The shuttle driver was a very nice young man who even stopped to rescue a tiny kitten along the way. It's mother was trying to carry out across the street and was scared by the shuttle and she accidentally dropped it in the street. Or driver pulled over, set his four way flashers and ran to pick up the kitten and carry it to the grass where the momma cat had disappeared. I love cats and all animals, so I loved the kitten rescue! Once we got to the hotel, check-in was a breeze. Tom at the front desk was awesome, calling us a cab and basically joking around with us til our ride for there. (Beer run!) The pool was deep and clean. The room was spacious and clean, and we even had a sliding glass door as a shortcut to the pool. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
I had an overall great experience with my apartment in Wassmer studios. The appliances were all new and worked well with no problems. The apartment was clean and the location was nice (15-20 minutes walking to campus/downtown, beautiful neighborhood). I did have some maintenance issues come up and found that I needed to call the office in addition to filling out their online maintenance form, but I received service within a day or two of calling. The landlord himself is very matter of fact during conversations (I've seen some reviews saying that he's been rude but I've taken it as him wanting to cut through B.S. and just get requests taken care of), but was helpful for me when I needed to cancel a third year's lease and did not give me any difficulty about getting back my deposit. This is not the cheapest apartment in lexington, but it is low hassle and a good location. Very worth it.
