Big Blue Bird Early Childhood Center

I must say they do try to teach the children. In a little over a month my child has learned a clean up song. But all the administration cares about is money, they do not care about anything but getting your cash each week. It's been problem after problem with them. They are rude, inconsiderate and hateful. The first incident was with the owner, driving an older car we have problems with it especially in the cold. My car was stalling and would not start properly I was two minuets late, they turned my child away. When we explained that both of us had to work. The owner said I don't care. Then a week later turns around and gives an apology but still who tells a customer "I don't care". The second and final incident was with the woman in the office. Never in my life have I had an experience with child care like I have with her. I have argued with administration but her attitude towards me was uncalled for. The only time she was nice is when we were paying. After two bad experiences I took my child out immediately. I will not recommend this center to any one the administration is rude and all they are is a business not child care. I don't even see why these people are in a business that caters to children and there working parents when they don't seem to care about either. There is nothing warm about the administration the only people who care about the children are a few of the teachers. But the kindness of those teachers was not enough to make up for the treatment my family has received from the administration.

Big Blue Bird has an incredible center and a great staff. It wast what I thought a day care looks like. It is a large center and each room has unique wall paintings. The director and owners worked well to help me with specific concerns I had for my child. I would recommend this center to my friends and family!

I would say this is the BEST preschool on the north end of town. Their rates are much cheaper than the surrounding centers. (Trust me I went to all of them) Their teachers are very knowledgeable about the needs of my child. The classrooms are large and well stocked with a wide variety of activities.They have several differnet play areas outside and a gym for the days when they can't go out. The staff are friendly and neat. My child has learned so much since they started there. Each month I receive a news letter that lets me know whats going on in the center. They offer the Head Start program, which is a huge plus, and it also keeps their teacher to child ratios lower than what the state requires. They keep me aware of community programs that my child or I may benefit from. I looked at atleast six other centers including Big Blue Bird before I made my decision. It has been the best decision I ever made for my child. My child absolutely loves going there.
