The service was less than expected, the waiter didn't even ask what rice, one would prefer with the entrees being ordered, leading to confusion when (another person) the server, brought some rice, but not enough rice for those who should have had it. The unsweetened tea - doesn't exist on the menu, you must order it as a flavored item, like a fruity tasting tea, or sweetened. The meal came and was always followed up by a prompt to 'move on' to the next step, from appetizer, to entree. to dessert, and here's the check. We were a 'party' and treated as if we needed to leave in time to get back to work, but it was 18:30 in the evening. The food, was okay, not bad but the hot and sour soup was a bit gravy-tasting-like, unlike some I've had at other Asian diners. ( It wasn't as heavy as what I have otherwise had, and I didn't really like it as much as a lighter soup, which I normally have. ) For a pricey restaurant, I found it leaving a bit to be desired.
This place has pretty good food and since the economy is horrible at the moment, they are inexpensive to dine at. My fiance and I eat here all the time, lunch buffet is like 6.99 a person and the dinner buffet is 12.99...we spend never over 25.00 for the dinner and like 18.00 for lunch. They have a salad bar and sushie also. The environment is clean and friendly and most quiet. I love, and I mean I love chinese food, though this place could be better, it is good for the price. But I tend to spend about $20 person at chinese places, so for a good night or lunch dinner and you dont want to spend to much to money, check this place out....they also have crab legs on dinner special and their ragoons are amazing, not to mention other food. BTW, they only have your basic drinks ie: soda, tea, water, etc...no hard alcohol, only beer. Enjoy
The food (especially the spicer plates which I like) is well-prepared, the atmosphere and service is always excellent. Whenever we want a consistently good place to go, for visitors or family, or we (a couple) just want to have a quiet evening out, we choose Asian Wind. I particularly like the taste of the Hot & Sour soup. You should try it!
