Jim runs an honest business! my wife and I purchased a 2005 Honda Pilot in 2008 from Jim at Kar Smart for our expanding family (3 small children). We also elected to purchase a 3rd party warranty at time of sale. The vehicle served us well for many miles. After 4yrs of trips to the beach and around town we had put 65000 miles on the car. We had maintained it as specified but the transmission began having problems (stuff happens...mechanical things sometimes break). We took the vehicle to the honda dealer who after running many tests stated the transmission needed replacement to the tune of $5000. We thought thats a bummer but that's why you buy a warranty right? So we gave our warranty paperwork to honda who attempted several times to get in touch with the company with no success. We soon found out this was due to the warranty company going out of business. Great!! Now we have no warranty, a car with a bunk transmission and no way to transport our family!! Not to mention we certainly dont have $5000 laying around for car repairs (we have three kids remember). With nowhere else to turn we paid a visit to Kar Smart and Jim to plead our case. He patiently listened and looked over all the paperwork. He then said "You guys did the right thing buying a warranty...Im sorry the company went out of business but here's what i will do for you...I am going to honor the warranty you purchased and have the car repaired by my people at no cost to you." We couldn't believe what we were hearing. This man had no obligation to fix our car. The warranty we purchased wasnt his warranty. It was third party and he had no control over the company going out of business. My wife then asked what do we do about getting around while the car is in the shop? He replied I will give you something off the lot thats big enough for your family in the meantime. We drove around the loaner (toyota sequioa) for a week while our honda pilot was repaired. After repair we have driven the pilot for about 1000 miles and all is well. The car drives great! Talk about honesty and integrity! We will certainly return with our business. You do not find customer service like this anywhere anymore. These people truly want to earn your business and stand behind their products!! Thank You To Jim and Kar Smart!!!!!!!!!!
Like a lot of people nowadays my credit has taken a hit and when it was time to get a new(er) car I really didn't want to be forced to go to a buy here pay here lot. Most cars there are older than what I wanted and the mileage was astronomical! Basically, if I was going to pay I want something newer, with good miles and a decent payment. Know I knew with my credit a payment would be high do to the APR. I had been searching the web and paper for sometime when I came across Express Auto Sales. They had a 2009 Ford Taurus SEL with 100,000 miles for 8,999! This was better than any deal I found here in Louisville where I live. I called and talked with Abrahim who had me do a credit app online. Several days later I was talking to one of their lenders and we had a deal by the end of the day! My wife and I drove from Louisville to Lexington still knowing we haven't even seen this car yet! When we got there we were greeted politely and given the keys to test drive the car! Let me tell you this car looked brand NEW!! It looked great drove great and was more then we expected! Once we returned. Abrahim walked us through the different banks he works with. All but one which he went to bat for us gave us a great APR and a payment that would beat any buy here pay here lot! We were very happy and even after we were done Abrahim gave us money back from the downpayment to fill up the gas tank on the car! He walked us out to the car to see us off! I can't say enough about this place...you owe it to yourself to check this place out!! I'm glad I did!!
Best buying experience I've had in 40 years I have to say it sucks buying cars. The salespeople crawl all over the place like little ants biting you until you agree to give up every last cent you have... But not at Auto select ! My wife and I went in with the standard "we're just looking" greeting and we were told that was quite ok and that our sales guy would be available if any questions came up. Long story short, we did have questions about a Pre-owned F-150 we saw this weekend and all of them were answered professionally and without a bunch of sales garbage. We bought the truck and didn't have to spend more than a a little over an hour at this dealership TOTAL from driving on to driving off in our new truck, and that includes the financing part! Great store there guys....keep it up! Goes to show you you don't have to be an unscrupulous dealer to sell cars!
