I would like to compliment this McDonald's. I have been going there for over 10 years and find each and every one of the employees friendly and efficient. They strive to call regular customers by their first names and greet you as such when you come in the door. The restuarant is exceptionaly clean and well kept. The manager "Doug Dance" is one of the most customer friendly persons I have ever met anywhere. He comes around and greets all customer and tells the children little jokes to make them laugh. He and his employees come around to check if anyone needs anything and takes trays to the trash can when we are finished. He has an excellent crew who keeps the tables/floors/restrooms, etc clean. There are several groups of people who come there on a regular weekly basis because of Doug's personality and the feeling of being welcomed to sit after we eat our meal and talk for a while. It makes us feel that this is "our place". We all refer to it as "our" McDonalds. Doug and all his crew deserve to be reconized for their excellent service. Thank You!! Nita K. Maria's food is outstanding, authentic, and inexpensive. I love her cooking. If you love Mexican food, you gotta go. I do about 3x per week. There are picnic tables out front during warm months, but the building is an old Tasty Freeze or Dairy Queen so there is just a window to order/pickup from. Of course in winter it's a to-go only situation. Maria is typically who will take and make your order, especially in the winter months when business is naturally slower. During those months, I personally call my orders in 10 minutes before I'll be there instead of ordering at the window and sitting in my vehicle. You're always greeted with a friendly "Bueno" when you call. In summer there is no need to call, and she has a few employees who are also very nice. Platters are $7, burritos are $2. About 6-7 meat selections... barbacoa, carne asada, pollo, asado verde & rojo, etc.. and some vegetarian options. not to mention the sauces have really good flavor.
Well thank goodness White Castle is still serving their one of a kind little square burgers. No substitutes exist for these fresh from the restaurant. Sad for you if there's not a White Castle in driving distance to your home. You'll have to do like my Aunt who travelled 400 miles sem-annually to fill up on their treasures. Yes, they are THAT good. Some say it's an acquired taste----sure, I agree, just taste ONE and you're hooked for life. I think they should serve White Castle Hamburgers at Senior Centers, they'd bring a lot of smiles and cure a lot of ills!
