Fairway Inn

I used the Fairway inn in August, 2013 and rented a room for 1 week at the cost of $250.00. The manager swiped my debit card twice. The next day when I checked my account on line there was two charges the original 250. Plus another charge for 186.00. When I showed this to the manager he said it didn't,t make sense than started talking about trouble with the card swiper, than the bank they use and of all the unpaid accounts. I asked him to call his bank the reverse the charge and he stated they went,t local and they were foreigners, I questioned why not have a local bank and he said the owner wanted to save a few bucks.

I called my bank and they recommended that I close my debit card while they investigated. I did this which was a real inconvenience since I was on vacation traveling from Oklahoma to New York. I had to go without a debit card until I reached New York in September waiting for the charge to drop. Now on October 31, 2013 I get two charges for $250.00 each from Fairway Inn on my new debit card. This place is screwed up. As far as the rooms go they are alright except for the flea powder they throw on the carpets take a day to air out the place.
