Econo Lodge

My family an I stayed at Econolodge on Essington Pa. Thinking it was good quality an affordable. When we got in our room we immediately noticed Cockroaches in the bathroom an next to the Outdated Tv. When I went to go tell the manager my husband pointed out the wide gap at the bottom of our door leading outside you could see right in our room. I went an asked the lady in the office if we could be moved pointing out the problems of roaches an the door being unsafe an the gap at the bottom, she told me we couldn't be moved due to no vacancy an we would have to wait till after the weekend. Come Monday we asked again only to be told we would be charged extra for the same type of room! Also while staying at the Econolodge we noticed staff members an there children playing kick ball in the front of the building an the ball hitting multiple vehicles including ours when I asked them to PLEASE move away from the vehical the younger lady yelled something in a foreign language which I couldn't understand while they continued to play so my husband moved our vehicle to the quality inn side to keep any damage from happening. I was alsocharged extra charges for days I wasn't there an I even have my receipts from another hotel where we left not long after the hits to our vehicle. But was told we would be reimbursed but never was .I called an asked to speak to the manager an was hung up on I called back an asked for the number to corporate an was told to "stop causing trouble an no they wasn't giving me the number" . They also charged me $60.00 for two pillow cases they said we took which was a lie because I helped the male house keeper strip the beds an take out the trash before we left. I also had to clean my own room because I was considered a "EXTENDED STAY GUEST" but however they did supply the cleaning supplies. I will never ever stay at this hotel or recommend anyone to stay here. Quality inn next door is ran by the same people but is however way nicer an bug free from what we observed. I hope this lodge gets a new makeover an New employees because they give a bad name to the Econolodge Brand. I don't recommend anyone to stay unless you want Roach Bugs an Be Over Charged for Fault Accusations. OnlyThe BBB. Will be able to change what's going on at that place.
