Overall

Psychiatry can be a lengthy process with some people trial and error to get write no matter if they made As or Cs.

Our chemistry varies person to person so much, its taken me years, but i have a huge compiled list of medications i have adverse or opposite reactions with.

Dr Rubin Moore is incredibly understanding, listens well and takes a measured approach at fixing you.

The wait times may improve with their reminder systems, but sometimes this happens. Just imagine that the people ahead of you are taking more time because they are in a crisis like you not that they are specifically overbooked...software maintains that.

Made me wait an hour 2 times and third time when I was late 10 mins did not honor the appt. Doctor told during appts that we could get prescriptions picked up but front desk insisted we make appts and insisted they cannot give prescriptions. They are more worried about collecting your money than serving your needs. This is the worst practice I have been to. Front desk staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Doctor Grewal seemed nice but the staff is interfering with what was told and creating their own rules.

Overall

After years of 10 years of being treated for ADD, Dr Huk retired and my husband was assigned to Dr. Rimi Grewal. My husband is also undergoing aggressive treatments for cancer right now : surgeries....combination of 4 chemos...transfusions...and we have frequent emergencies.

When he ran out of the anti-depressant (not the ADD or controlled med) they denied the refill when the pharmacy requested it. Then we realized that a new prescription for this same med had been written but lost or mislaid in all the sickness and emergency.....so we explained this to the staff directly for 2 more days. They said Dr Grewall got the message and to wait for a response. We never got a response. Both our Primary and Oncologist were willing to write a new script if needed but we found the origional script on the 3rd day.

So which Doctor out of all these had no compassion? Right, the Psychiatrist!

I find the irony most amusing but cannot recommend Dr. Grewall.

The most unprofessional RUDE office staff!

I've been going to this office for over 10 years now and it has gotten ridiculous. The office staff is rude rude rude! The larger girl on the right with curly hair is so rude to me every time we interact.

If you need a medication refilled, you can forget that too. The lady who handles this doesn't even bother LISTENING to your voicemail (she never answers the phone). She just calls back and shoots down your request with what she thought she heard. It takes about 4 calls to get it through to her, but yet you'll be saying the same thing in all 4 messages. Once your prescription is ready to pick up, you'll never receive a call, but when you call to check on it, she'll say ""I don't know what the problem is, I left you a voicemail."" When in fact she didn't even dial your phone #.

Wish I could fire the entire office staff (except for the girl who handles billing questions), then it would be a perfect!

Annoying

I used to come here nearly 10 years ago, in my teenage years. I really liked my doctor (who I won't name now). I found him to be extremely helpful and actually spent time with me -- listening.

My issue now, is with the staff. I've left FOUR messages with them (during their working hours) trying to make an appointment with that same doctor, and they've not called me back to set something up. I've gone to a few other psych doctors, and I really wanted to see this particular one. However, their reluctance to call me back, makes that impossible. I have no choice to find somebody else.

Reading these comments, I don't know why any of these doctors would associate themselves with the unprofessional staff at this group.

New and Improved

Wow what a huge difference in the last 3 months. There must have been some kind of shake up in the office because all of the billing issues have been fixed and the staff seems to much better trained than they were just a few months ago!! Maybe someone actually reads these things! :)

Pathetic Staff

I have seen the very competent and capable Dr. Birdsell at this facility but am going to discontinue doing so because of the office staff. They are incompetent, inept, unprofessional and generally unpleasant to work with. I have had my billing screwed up multiple times, they have billed entirely wrong insurance companies for my visits. They have put erroneous charges on my bill and if you try to dispute them they give you the runaround and never return your calls. They even scheduled an appointment for me for the wrong YEAR. I am saddened to have to leave such a great doctor due to the worst service I have ever endured at a physicians office. By the way, they owe ME money for billings made in error, but I doubt I will ever see it.

Unavailable!

They put you on hold the minute you call and then never pick up (an hour!!). The auto-menu says to dial ""0"" to leave a voicemail but it doesn't work - you stay on hold. The only voicemail you can get to is the ""new patient"" one. Very annoying when trying to confirm or cancel an appointment, which they threaten to charge you for if you don't respond. Fax number didn't work, either.

That said, they do call you back fast to initially set you up for your first appointment. The only opening they had was with Tahir Rahman, and he won't see anyone AT ALL unless you can bring an adult with you, supposedly to ""establish context"". He outright refuses to see you without a ""buddy"". Pretty ironic since therapy is supposed to be the most confidential field! What if you're new in town? What if you have intimacy problems to start with? What if you're seeking help from an abusive spouse who wouldn't exactly be supportive of therapy? Must be great to seek help for loneliness and fear rejection only to have a shrink reject you for having no friends. Want to be open but I found that very odd.

I can't offer advice on the actual docs because I never went. They'd annoyed me enough before I even got there that I requested a different referral. Save your time.

Very polite staff

Have been a patient of Dr. Browns for over 10 years. Very good physician. Staff is unbelievably patient and professional even though they have to deal with all kinds of patients with any number of disorders, they are always respectful, cheerful, and quite professional. Highly recommend.
