Community Care Delmar

Community Care is overall not a bad establishment, but I have had very bad experiences with a Dr. Sharon Bedford. She was very rude to me and very disrespectful. I am currently working in the health professions as an Occupational Therapist and I have never had a health physician treat me with so much disrespect. Dr. Sharon Bedford talked down to me and chastised me having made an appointment with her when I could have just called and asked her staff a question, I tried explain to Dr. Bedford that I had tried calling and asking her staff and her staff told me I needed to make an appointment with my doctor. When I told Dr. Bedford this, she implied that her staff were lazy and said that my nurse practitioner was probably just too lazy to look up the information on her own and that is why I was there wasting her time. I found this very unprofessional and because this is not the first unpleasant experience I have had with Dr. Bedford, I will never be using her as a doctor in the future.

I am still waiting to hear back about an appointment I need scheduled, I left two messages with Dr. Bedford over the past 2 weeks and no one has returned my call. If you need to go to Community Care I recommend nurse practitioner Marsha Smith, as far as doctors, all I know is not to go to Dr. Bedford.
