This is my first review after living here only 2 months. -->As for young couples and stabbings as one reviewer wrote, I have asked around, and no-one has heard of that. I know they made sure that I am 55 years or older before I moved in. I think it is well maintained, clean pool and club house facilities, and great friendly staff. There may be a cheaper place next door, I don't know if 25 bucks makes that big of deal in most people's lives, if it does, then try going without some of the things that you normally waste your $$$ on like eating out, or watching pay-for-tv, and such. If things change for the worse, or if they get better, as far as how I like Palm Grove, I'll write a new review!
My parents moved there around 1989, I moved there around 2005, and we love it. The manager is a very nice person, but won't take no crap from anyone; and has to be like that in her position (what do you want, Myrtle Manor on TLC?) The park is clean, the clubhouse has a variety of books that you can borrow (or keep) for free. The people are friendly. And I like the fact that the gate is open during the day so if I'm getting a delivery I don't have to give out our gate code. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think the pool should be open until 10:00 P.M. from June to September.
my family has lived in this park for almost 30 years and we have never had a manager so disrespectful and discrimating. she does not talk to the residents with respect but belittles them and with some she down right out of line. she attempts to ''run'' their lives , shes out of control and any attempts to get heelp from tthe manufacture home athority has failed due to laziness or just plain blindness can someone help us ?
