I think its time for Ryan to do some damage control. If this is a company that prides itself on customer service so much so that they use their "old-fashioned, superior customer service" as the thing that sets them apart from most companies in business today, then I'd hate to have to interact with a company on the opposite end of that spectrum. I just called these guys about 10 mins. ago to get a price on a prescription for my son that I have to cover out-of-pocket and the ...view morewoman that answered the phone was so unfriendly, so unhelpful, and...though I wouldn't go so far as to call her rude...she was a far cry from polite. I've worked in customer service since age 15 when I got my first job and every place I've worked expected certain things on every customer call; those were to answer the call with a happy, friendly, enthusiastic tone thanking the customer for calling and stating the name of your company as well as your first name followed with a "how may I help you today?" This employee did none of these except state the name of the company by answering the phone "Ryan's pharmacy".....As someone who works in customer service, I believe If you are not able to provide them with the answer they want to hear, you do so apologetically and if possible offer other options for them, NEVER talk over the customer or cut them off, and always be sure the customer hangs up the phone satisfied, knowing that you did everything in your power to provide them with correct information and/or provide them with whatever services/products they were inquiring on. Again, I did not receive ANY of these courtesies either...when I was telling her the reason for my call, she apparently knew what I wanted before I finished speaking because she cut me off mid-sentence and said "what is the medication?" I said the name of the brand of medication, but was still in the process of saying the dosage information and number of pills when she AGAIN cut me off to advise me that "Nuh-uh, we ain't got it. We don't even carry that." Wow, um okay...thanks I guess.
I know my comment probably seems petty, but I am a person that TRULY does pride myself on superior customer service, so when I don't receive the same in return it is very frustrating for me...especially when the extreme lack of service is coming from a company that BOASTS about the service they provide...ya know?view less
