I attended Trinity as a child, my children did and now my god-children attend. I attend church there and have worked there as well, though I am now on the school board. Trinity is now a Reggio Emelia based school with Abeka as the Christian based teachings. We have received many grants from several offices, including the NAEYC, and was voted the "Best Preschool in Las Vegas". The campus is beautiful and even more updates and modifications are in the works to truly make our school shine among the Las Vegas valley private schools. My children are now too old to attend, but I often recommend the school to parents. Many who attended as children now send their children and absolutely love the improvements and the new age-appropriate philosophy. Leslie has done an amazing job and continues to shine at Trinity, bringing in new programs, funding, and overall . As referenced (and immensely embellished) in previous reviews, Trinity is a long-standing preschool in the Las Vegas community and has been through its ups and downs like every other school or organization. Recently Trinity has gone through drastic changes that many were not thrilled about at the time, but have greatly improved both the educational and overall quality of the entire school, including the staff. As an early-childhood educator, I would recommend Trinity to anyone looking for a preschool or early elementary program which is age-appropriate, stimulating, Christian-based and educational. I'll begin by simply saying I'm probablly a little prejudice because Advent is the church I've worshiped at for close to 15 years now, a member for the last 13 years or so, and a part of the music praise team at our 9:30 worship service. Our pastor, (Dennis Hutson), is a retired air force man who overflows of his faith to all he preaches too. Pastor Dennis is a man who when you look him in the eye, you know you are looking at a man who is filled with faith, trust, sincereity, intelligence, & most of all an un-dying passionate love of our lord & savior, Jesus Christ almighty. I've learned so much from him in a short 2 years or so that he has been our pastor. You can feel his "FAITH," savor his sermons on "SALVATION," and he has a wonderous "LOVE" for all the "MUSIC" we have at our church, be it at our 8a.m. traditional service, our 9:30 a.m. blended accoustic service, (of which I am involved in), or our 11:00a.m. contemporary service. All 3 services are lead & directed by our minister of music Mr. Barry Isbell, another individual with a mad passion for the love of our lord! I so love & enjoy spending time in God's house and am proud, privilaged, and extremely honored to be a vital part of the 9:30 service music praise team! Thanks & praise be to God for this church, this pastor, and this minister of music. I love it here! Advent United Methodist Church......a place to call home! GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME, HE PUT A SONG OF PRAISE IN THIS HEART OF MINE, GOD IS GOOD....................amen!
My little girl is almost five and my Son is almost nine - they have been going to Griffith for over three years. They love it there. Kylee never wants to miss a day of school. She always comes home singing songs they learned, and telling me about all the fun activities they did during the day. She can almost read. Every teacher she has had as she's developed have been caring, nurturing, and fun. My son stays there before school and after school - making our working lives much easier. He also loves going to their summer camp. They swim, go to museums, movies, and do many other fun activities. I can not recommend this school enough. It has added value to our lives.
