I have had numerous experiences at Team Ford Lincoln. The service I have received has been above and beyond what I expected in terms of customer service. I have had dead batteries in my lifetime and I have never paid that much. Having battery issues here in Las Vegas isn't uncommon. It's 100+ degrees, dry and dusty. I recently went on the hunt for a repair facility to have work done on my vehicle. I had asked around and actually had a few friends that recommended One Stop Auto Service Center. They have been around for 18 years and the owner has been a local for 37 years. It is a family owned and operated business and it has become a family affair. The owner has his two sons working for the business as managers/mechanics and his daughter does all of the ad design and correspondence to commercial accounts. His wife maintains the books and 'keeps an eye out' to make sure the operation continues it's great service. On my recent visit, my vehicle was inspected because of a leak in my heater core. The dealer had given me a quote for $1,483.00 and made me feel like I had to do the job, now. Well, I went to One Stop Auto and I was given a quote of $746.00 for the same job. I did'nt tell them what the dealer quoted. The job was done and the vehicle was fixed. Everything was working (A/C, heat) and I had no more leak or foggy inside windshield. After I paid for the repair I told the owner what the dealer had quoted. He was not surprised with the quote I had received. Based on his experience in the business and the numerious stories he is told on a daily basis, this was just another one of those stories. Needless to say, I have become a customer of One Stop Auto and I have now recommended this shop to other friends. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone. All I can say is this shop is a well kept secret and I was able to find them by word of mouth. They do not believe in coupons or 'special monthly discounts.'. Their prices are already low to begin with. I'm one happy customer who is glad I found them.
After taking my car to Pep Girls thinking it needed a starter, I was told they would need to run a diagnostic on the car for $89.00. I said ok. They called me and said yes, I do need a starter. I authorized it. They then called back and said it's not the starter, it's the ignition switch AND lock cylinder, AND the starter to the tune of $720.00. They said the parts are not in town and would have to be ordered. I called around and located the parts, but along the way was told that if the key rotated, why do I need a lock cylinder? I pulled the car and had it towed to Keith at Swing Shift Auto. He accurately diagnosed it and it turned out to be a faulty Park Nutural Position Switch. The part was $30.00. I also learned that most franchises like Firestone, Goodyear, Purrfect Auto, Tire Works, And Pep Girls don't hire very qualified mechanics. They also try to upsell every customer that walks through the door. They use cheap quality parts. Most often doing more damage to your car along the way. Keith was professional, courtious, honest, accurate, has over 25 years experience and is certified a Master Technician by ASE. What also made me comfortable was he's a one man show. No iddle man, no miscommunication. Does everything himself. Keeps a clean facility. And you can tell his love for the automobile and prefessionalism seperates him from the people just trying to make a quick buck! Highly recommended!
