Trailer Tech

In response to the complaint against Trailer Tech on December 30th 2012. From the President of Trailer Tech: At first I was I not going to bother with a response to this complaint because I think most people are intelligent enough to read between the lines of Mr. Patterson's...more rambling to get a better picture of what actually transpired, but his behavior was so ridiculous and his complaint is so warrantless, that I cannot let this lie to continue to be spread. We do not expect our customers to be "experts", because that is what we are (staff total of over 72 years experience in selling parts for trailers). We do our best to get you what you need and want in a timely manner. To do this, we have to ask many questions, of which Mr. Patterson could not be bothered with. He arrived at our store 10 minutes before closing, which was not a problem as our salespeople are always willing to stay late to help a serious customer, as well as I am always willing to pay overtime for a sale to be handled. But Mr. Patterson was too busy strutting around our showroom and talking at the top of his lungs into his cell phone. When my salesperson tried to get his attention, he was rude and demeaning. In spite of this, my salesperson managed to decipher that Mr. Patterson wanted a heavier axle package for his trailer as he was overloading it on a regular basis, and that he wanted to use 8-bolt wheels. Since the 8-bolt pattern is only available in a minimum of 6000 pound axles, that is what he was sold. Bright and early the next morning, Mr. Patterson's employee brought everything back for a REFUND saying that he had decided to buy a different trailer instead of upgrading his trailer. We have a modest re-stocking fee of 15% in such situations which barely covers our costs, especially when you consider a credit card transaction fee both directions. This fee is noted on our invoices and each customer is required to acknowledge this fee in the form of his signature. When Mr. Patterson's employee called and informed him of this, he flew into a tirade. He threatened us repeatedly in many different forms, both against the company and against the salesperson and myself personally. I personally made the decision to return his purchase price in full, in spite of the fact that we would lose in excess of $100 on the non-sale, because it just wasn't worth dealing with him or his threats and potential bad P.R. We took back everything he had purchased and Mr. Patterson WAS NOT charged a re-stocking fee. If Mr. Patterson has been in business for 25 years, then I'm sure that he is aware that there are still laws on the books against libel and slander. Perhaps he SHOULD beware.view less

First off, I am moving across ...

First off, I am moving across the country in less than a week, and I am doing this trek in my 01 325i BMW with one other person. I have only my stock HU and I have the Harmon Kardon system which I plan on utilizing and I need to work on my stereo system so the trip is less...more bland with only using CD's. Here is how it went down, purchased a USA SPEC: PA12-BMW iPod/iPhone integration kit online (from Pacific Stereo [fantastic to work with]) and I had held onto my 2ch amp and 10in kicker sub in a ported box from my pervious car. The kit arrives on Monday and at 2pm I roll to City Car Radio (based off of the reviews of you guys) looking to have my iPod kit and amp/sub installed, that day! (was not expecting them to, just hoped) Talk to the owner Boj, very nice guy. Then he introduces me to this guy Darren (who was incredibly nice), who as it turns out was in on his day off. Darren and I discuss placement options of the iPod cable and go through the work order. I let him know my travel plans and why I need this done asap (I honestly have no other time to get my audio work done this week, I am currently writing this while my car is at another shop getting my radiator fixed...) This is around 2:30, concerned that my car might have to stay over night, I ask them when they close--6:00pm--he tells me not to worry that they can stay late to finish the job! (5 star service right there) Spend the day on Las Vegas blvd, and my phone dies, I walk to the shop at 6:30 and they were just starting the car, (30 min after they close, so awesome of them) they tell me it will be finished at 8pm. Meet up with a friend for drinks and decide to call em at 7:45 to see if we should wait to eat and just pick the car up. They answer the phone (they have technically been closed for almost 2 hours) and tell me to come by in 20 min. Long story short, Darren (on his day off) and some over guy, I think his name is Jorge, did an AMAZING job with the wiring of the iPod kit and they even played around with it, showing me how to use it. These guys work in the service industry and man do they understand customer relations. I hope to find a shop out in NC that is as sweet as this one. The price was a little higher than I had hoped for (but competitive non-the-less) and as they had stayed really late to do the job i cant complain. They had to wire the amp into my rear speakers since the stock HU does not have rca so that added to the additional cost. Now I just need to work on damping my trunk... rattle rattle. view less

So your looking for a plac...

So your looking for a place that will install your sound system clean, precise and flawlessly? look no further than Mob Customs Las Vegas Talk to Boj or Mike when you come into this place, in my opinion, Mob Customs is the most knowledgeable staff. After g...moreiving these guys a hard time about something that was completely my fault, they still had the patience to work with me and honor the famous saying which has been around for years: "The customer is always right" I unfortunately managed to get on Boj' (who is really a nice guy) bad side when I insisted my navigation system was out of wack. In reality, I was the one who was out of wack. Nonetheless, he kept his cool with me and worked all the way through until I realized nothing was wrong. I ended up leaving the place with a custom wood bracket for my GPS tray for a very reasonable price. Also, Boj, the shop owner, is one hell of a guy who will cater to your every need and whim. Not only did he stand behind me 100 percent when I was facing my navigation issue, but he also made sure I was happy before I left. Having gone there in late 2010 to have a Pioneer double din installed, I remembered why this shop was so fabulous. Being that this particular 7" in dash screen had no pre made drop in kit, I had them cut a metra kit for me and then wrap it in a carbon fiber like material. I was extremely pleased with the cosmetic outcome of the dash kit, it looked a lot better than what I had expected. Just goes to show, if you can think it, they can do it. Also, they installed my flea market crap amp (which I supplied) along with my 5 year old Orion XTR 12" and to my surprise, made it sound like a dream. Go see these guys and you will not be disappointed. Big Jay view less
