Professionalism

I hesitated to post this for fear of retaliation, but in good conscience I decided to give other local motorists the heads up.
I've been happy to put up with prices here because of good service and communucation, but that was before I dealt with the owner directly. After a routine oil change I needed two major repairs in a row. When I had the audacity to say that that seemed like a huge coincidence and ask if there was any chance they were related, he told me I "lost credibility" as a "difficult person" in just about the most patronising and unprofessional method possible. Oh this was also after I got saddled with a bill that was fifty dollars higher than the grand total I had been quoted (and yes I was VERY clear in asking for the cost out the door, I always am) because his definition of "grand total" and "out the door" apparently don't include tax because it's not money he gets to keep, or so went his excuse. Apparently I was also "difficult" for bringing that up. I'm a youngish woman, I get patronised by mechanics regularly, but this was a whole different animal, I have NEVER seen such behaviour from someone who's supposed to be a business owner.

UPDATE the business replied to my google review (identical to the above text), stating that I called to "apologize for my behavior" and "she happy now". None of this is remotely true.
I called the day after the incident to thank the desk staff for being nice to me and extend my regrets that they have to deal with their boss' ugly behaviour. A few days later they called to try to get me to remove the review, which I wouldn't do because there's nothing untrue in it, and apparently their solution was to write a response lying about me. I gave the benefit of the doubt and was very charitable in my review but apparently they really are just plain unscrupulous and not above lying to try to save face.

The worst customer service that I have ever expienced. Eric, whom I understand is part owner, was rude, called my family names, and told me that he could treat his customers anyway he liked because it was his business. My car was there for two weeks and the price was over $300 more than the original quote. The people who give this place high ratings obviously did not deal with Eric. The other two owners should seriously consider buying this guy out. He will destroy your business. I have been in customer relations for over thirty-five and I know that the customer is NOT always right. However, degrading one's family is never good for business. On a positive note, Brian the mechanic who worked on my car was extremely helpful and curtious. That alone though, is not enough for me to EVER use this facility again. I hope that UFCR reads their reviews and takes some form of action against Eric before their business fails.

Great job!!

It was almost 6 months since my AC broke down and neither the dealer nor the other 2 garages I went to could repair it for me. UFCR did a great job and in 2 days got my AC working. Thanks !!

02 VW Passat. My first service, with them, was replacing a wheel baring that Williamson was going to charge over $400, UFCR charged half that, and it was done in the same time frame. I look forward to taking my car in to get my door look repaired, again- half of what Williamson would charge. I'd give 5 stars if they had a pick up service as well.

These folks changed my oil for me, and pointed out a list of other repairs I would be needing in the future. They didnt pressure me at the time, but a few months later I noticed the signs they pointed out. I took it back to them to get my brakes fixed, I cant argue with that. The original oil change prepared me for what was coming so I could set some money aside. Thanks UFC!
