        Don't get had!

        These guys are con-artists! They did a full inspection on the air-conditioning system of my car, assured me it was fine, and charged me over $135 to recharge it. However, they informed me that the blowers needed to be repaired and for me to bring it back to have those fixed. The air ran cold for about a day (blasting on high). When I returned to have that addressed, they told me that there was in fact a leak and that it would be an additional $850 to get that fixed. They refused to give me a refund on the first service and told me that it was "covered" if I had the additional work done. Now I am skipping the part where they gave me an additional quote of over $800 for tire repair (which I recently had somewhere else where they laughed at CarX's quote and did the work for about $300 less). So, basically, CarX got a $135 donation from me. If you've heard rumors about the guys at CarX being swindlers, BELIEVE THEM. Please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere reputable... not just because they have entertaining commercials. You'll be glad you did!
