        good experience so far

        Having had a heart-breaking experience at another veterinary hospital close by, I want to be very careful reviewing any veterinarian or clinic, and I urge every pet owner to never blindly trust his or her vet, any vet. Having said that, so far I have only had favorable impressions of A-PAW. All the vets are women. I like all of them, but I am particularly grateful to Dr. Boyce, who, I believe, saved my cat's life with her swift diagnosis and actions. She was caring throughout my cat's ordeal and tried to reassure us and give us hope. Dr. Boyce even came in after hours to check on Fedya and called me with her reports.



        What I also like is the constant continuing education that the staff go through, both on-site and off (seminars). The doctors seem to be up on the latest and open-minded about the reduced vaccine protocols and raw feeding. I wish only that they were more active proponents of these and other healthier non-mainstream alternatives and didn't go along with the Hills Science Diet-type products and philosophy, which I believe is wrong but is ingrained in the infrastructure of many veterinary establishments. Many vets are aware of this problem and refuse to endorse or sell these products, and I think that's the best policy.



        The new facility is nice, spacious and clean, so it's really pleasant now, even though it was a long time coming.



        So, with some caution, I would recommend this hospital to other pet owners.

        I am a fairly recent client of APAW, so I want to be cautious in my review of it, but so far I have been very pleased. I think the vets are honest and caring. I think they also take extra safety precautions. The staff all seem to be true animal lovers, not just "working there." The vets and support staff are always engaged in learning the latest in veterinary medicine through on- and off-site seminars, which inspires confidence. When one of my pets was seriously ill, he was brought back to health in the most caring and competent manner. The hospital just opened a new wing, so the facility is modern, clean and spacious. I would recommend A-PAW to other pet owners.
