I am strictly talking about the food that is served, as I have not been inside this Two Cousins, or any other, for that matter. I have had Lobster Ravioli from this Two Cousins, and the one in Bridgeport, and it is hard to believe the difference in the two dishes. The Bridgeport Two Cousins served the meal in a regular marinara type tomato sauce, and the ravioli were striped with black. This, Columbia Avenue Two Cousins, served it with a CREAMY tomato sauce and regular colored ravioli. Now, I guess it COULD be a matter of preference which one of these dishes are better, but I believe most people would prefer the latter. I don't necessarily believe that the color of the pasta changes it's flavor, but most people wouldn't find this as appetizing as the normal way. Columbia Avenue has a wonderful little pick-up window, where you can order, and wait in the parking lot, till they bring it to you, or call in your order, and use the window, only as it's intended, as a pick-up. This building has taken on many different transformations in the past. Right now, I'm glad it's a Two Cousins, and that it's run by these people, that make the best food, from pizza, to subs, to cheesesteaks, and lasagne. It's all super delicious.
My wife and I went there on Sunday, June 21. The service was prompt, although the hostess seemed too busy chatting to bother seating us. We ordered two slices so we could try their pizza to see if it was close to NY pizza(since we are both originally from NY). Then we ordered two dinners - chicken parm and fettucine alfredo. The pizza slices came out in less than 10 minutes and looked and smelled like NY pizza...tasted great...not 100% like back in NY but so darn close, we will be going there again. The salads were large and delivered along with garlic bread...crisp, not too well done. Dinners arrived within 15 minutes...mmmmmmm, sooooo good. The chicken parm was perfect...thin, breaded, fried to perfection. The pasta sauce was good...would have liked a bit more...had to ask for grated cheese...this should have been automatically brought out with the dinners or offered. Waiter came back often to check on us. Great experience all around.
