I can't say enough how happy I was to discover Buckle. Shopping with my teenage daughter was a nightmare that often left her (and I) angry, frustrated, or in tears, and more often than not leaving the mall with nothing. My daughter has a rock and roll aesthetic that is not easily found in Lancaster County, plus she has a difficult time making decisions so more often than not resorted to a uniform of unflattering band tees from Hot Topic - Aero and the like never fit the bill for us. Thankfully the Buckle was our solution. I phoned them in the morning and told them I'd be in that afternoon, and what my daughter liked and didn't like. When we arrived we were greeted enthusiastically and found a rack with complete outfits waiting for us. For some reason kids are more receptive to a stranger showing them clothes than their mothers! My daughter tried on a nice variety of things that suited her style (think tasteful punk/LaRue/Paramore inspired clothing). Now I won't kid you and tell you their stuff is inexpensive. I did specify with the sales associate up front on the phone that I wasn't interested in $70 tee shirts, and she listened by showing us more budget friendly choices. Reasonably priced jewelry and shoes were selected for each outfit as well, giving the gal who has a hard time making decisions get the complete picture. We did splurge on a pair of pricey jeans which were very flattering, and a military inspired jacket. The jeans also come with free hemming service which we gladly took advantage of. The sales associate was very attentive, but never pushy or hovering. As I usually never really buy back to school clothing in the summer, preferring to wait until October when the weather turns, I decided the first year of high school warranted a new wardrobe, and was pleased that with layering everything could be carried over into the winter months. I opened a Buckle charge, immmediately saving 10% on my total purchases. I split our purchase into two transactions, taking home some things that day, and the rest I was able to put on layaway for two months. We also received a punch card which will give us $10 off our next purchase, plus the charge card will earn us another $10. All in all the experience at Buckle was excellent. If you're looking for trendy, attractive clothing that you won't see everyone wearing as they limit the number of items in a particular style, then the Buckle is for you.
