After a morning of hiking near Lancaster, we were hungry but did not want a chain restaurant. We found Hutchins Grill on YP. We were delighted to find a super clean pleasant restaurant decorated in the style of the fifties that we grew up with. There were lots of American food items that would have satisfied us. I enjoyed the fish sandwich. If I am in that area again, I would try the pork tenderloin sandwich. Ice cream might have been a nice finish on a warmer day. We stopped for a photo in front of the building g with the "hotdog man" that had been designed for the restaurant and created with a chainsaw. Really fun! We were glad that we found this family-owned and operated eatery.
I went there this evening with my husband and set at the bar. I was served by the bartender kaleb and the drinks he made were complete perfection. I ordered a mai tai which he suggested and my husband got a candy apple martini. I also ordered the crab ragoon as he suggested and they litterally melt in your mouth best taste ever. Very large portions and the plating is picture perfect. We will be back for sure.
The food was not what I expected! I ordered the turkey and mashed potatoes stuffing and gravy! I was expecting fresh turkey and well it was sandwhich slices covered in gravy. My husband got the fried chicken and it was over cooked and dry. However the service we recieved was wonderful but I will never eat dinner there. We are going to go back and try the breakfast.
